The Alpha's Babysitter

The Alpha's Babysitter

he asked, his voice filled with a longing for more. Mama Hazel, her heart warmed by his enthusiasm, smiled. "Of course, Theo. What kind of story would you like to hear?" Theo, his eyes sparkling with mischief, grinned. "Tell me a story about a princess who can fly!" And so, Mama Hazel, her imagination ignited by Theo's request, spun a tale of a princess who could soar through the sky on the back of a giant, feathered bird. She described the princess's adventures, her encounters with talking animals, and her quest to save a kingdom from a wicked sorcerer.

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Alice hid a laugh, laying Millie down and tucking her between the sheets, with Hoppy by her side “Want to do the honors?” “Okay, okay…” he snorted, and Alice had to admit that it was a funny image to see that huge man, still with broad shoulders and a firm appearance despite everything that had happened to him, sitting in his wheelchair with the colorful book in her hands and an upset expression on her face “Once upon a time, there was a mother duck who was very excited about the birth of her five little eggs. One after another, they were born, cute little yellow ducklings that said quack quack...”

My Professor, My Enemy, My Mate

My Professor, My Enemy, My Mate

I was thinking of her, of Alpha Duiane and this odd situation in which I found myself here, half guest, half captive. Something strange had caught my eye. A golden insect hovered before my eye. And I blinked off on it, it was a fly, a golden fly. Its wings shone and reflected minute glints which made it almost enchanted. It flew around me for a little while and then flew off. And automatically, I began following it. The fly buzzed lightly back and forth, darting from bloom to bloom to stop again. I trailed behind it, my worries briefly forgotten. It was somehow strangely compelling.

Termination Game

~Ladybird, ladybird fly away home, your house is on fire and your children are gone, All except one, And her name is Anne, 'cuz she hid under the baking pan~ As the tune ended, I placed it back gently on the table and looked in the mirror. That was when I suddenly lost consciousness.

Magma Reformed

Magma Reformed

It is truly beautiful here. When I see the yellow house the nurse described I make a left. I can see the building she described as the cafeteria in the distance. Since it lies up the hill I get a whiff of food on the breeze. My stomach growls reminding me that it has been a while since I have eaten. I find it a bit off that I have seen no one else in this village yet. Just as I have the thought a shadow passes overhead. I lift a hand to my head as a visor so I can peer up into the sky. I freeze when I notice that it is a dragon flying.

Comeback Of The Rejected Lycan

Comeback Of The Rejected Lycan

CASSANDRA'S POV I navigated through the maze like forest, my senses alert to every sound and movement. As I found myself embarking on a mysterious journey, going by what I had read in the book. The necklace possessed ancient powers and according to the book, the necklace was hidden within the depths of the dark forest. And I thought, dark forest? I'd never been to a dark forest and that of course made me believe that was probably where the answers to my questions were. So I ventured into the forest, the trees towered over me like sentinels guarding a well kept secret. As I ventured deeper into the heart of the dark forest, fear threatening to grip my chest at the unpredictability of the envi

Desires And Captivity

Desires And Captivity

In the strip of clear sky, three dark points moved across the stars. “Drones,” I whispered. “Or something that flies like them.” “Can you fly like them?” she asked. “I can disappear so they won’t find me,” I said, grabbing her arm. “Come.” We ran. The forest swallowed our footsteps; branches clawed at our shoulders, thorns snagged my trousers, but we didn’t stop. Under the thick canopy, the stars vanished, replaced by darkness broken only by our ragged breathing. One of the shapes passed so low overhead that its wake tangled my feathers.

Man's Best Wingman

Man's Best Wingman

Today’s my day off. I should sleep in. If I could, I totally would. So what’s stopping me from languishing in my bed? Seventy-four pounds of fluff is trying to suffocate me as she climbs onto my chest shaking in fear because an ambulance sped past our building with the sirens blasting. Whoever named her Tinkerbell can go to hell with their sense of humor

Is that really how the book ends? It's a really good book but to end it that way... Especially with the trauma the two main characters seperately endured... Feels wrong to deprive the reader from getting to have that HEA with the characters.

Another wonderful book!! I have laughed so hard it hurts and this is not just a nod to romance, But Life getting in the way and our animals fully taking over and inserting themselves when we aren't brave enough to do it ourselves. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

Lullaby (Fable Saga Book 2)

The silver circle. The ring in mom’s jewelry box. The five princes. Bea. The sea witch. Try as I might, I still can’t quite piece together the mystery I’ve stepped into. Words, tunes, images and ideas swirl through my mind all the way back to the cabin, as I puzzle over the greater meaning – but I’m still as lost as ever. From time to time a bird or a squirrel darts through the leafy labyrinth of branches overhead, scattering the early morning sunlight and bringing me to a standstill.

The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

What book is that? Jai leaned over to the front and took the book from the cushion to examine it. It was light and a bit thin. There was a picture in the cover that looked like a forest, and a small boy was in the picture, picking some mushrooms. The title was written in artistic way, like a children book would.
