~ELENA~ I can’t move. My legs are frozen, my brain stutters, and my perfectly glossed lips part in stunned silence. Alessandro fucking Bianchi. Here. In Italy. In Florence. In my space. In my school. I feel like the ground beneath me has cracked open. My pulse thunders. A rush of memories floods my brain….him pressing me against cold marble walls, his voice a whisper of seduction and destruction, the late-night fights, the broken promises, the way he kissed me like he was trying to claim my soul… then shattered it like glass.

“You know, I've been to Italy a few times. Most of my business partners are there. Half the Packs, too.” His gaze darkened, like my question stirred memories. Who would have thought that he understands Italian? It has never crossed my mind. My favourite author Marietta, was a werewolf who has her roots in Italy and from the way she talks about her place, I've wanted to go there too. I was about to ask him another question, but his phone rang again. He didn't pick up the first time. He got down from the bed and made his way towards the window and I used that opportunity to admire him. He keeps surprising me all the time.

“You think this is over? Men like Moretti don’t change. One day, he’ll build a cage for you too.” Alessia looked towards her husband. Dante stood with blood on his hands, waiting for her to decide whether she still trusted him. “If he does,” Alessia said, “I’ll burn it.” Luca was dragged outside. The last Romano king left his empire in handcuffs. Dante approached Alessia. “Are you hurt?” “No.” He pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. “You waited,” she whispered. “I hated every second.” “But you trusted me.”

Disclaimer This book is a modern version of the Classic Romeo and Juliet love story and it is therefore set for the most part in Sicily and Italy. The two families involved are Mafia families so some of the script is written in Italian with the English translation in brackets. It does not distract from the story, if you cannot read Italian, read the English! Enjoy!! 'Alessandro, fermati, per favore devo riposare.' [Alessandro, stop, please I must rest.]

How had they even gotten here? It had been the second time they would go on Bianca’s whole entourage of dates, and they had been having an extremely relaxing conversation about whether or not Verona deserved to be crowned as the city of love just because William Shakespeare had made it the setting of Romeo and Juliet when there were many quaint, perfect villages and cities in Italy where people tended to fall in love more.

Author's POV' The engine hummed low, the only sound filling the air between them. Morning rush on the streets blurred past the windows, but inside the car, silence pressed down like a heavy fog. Elena sat and turned slightly toward the glass, watching the city roll by, her hands folded too tightly in her lap. Many stuffs running on her mind. The first was the excitement of her first day at work after being married to a mafia king. Though Vincenzo still hasn't been claimed as a mafia king, soon he will be announced as mafia king of Italy through a ceremony.

She happily exited his mansion. While a small smirk didn't leave his lips for even a once. Now it was a time for him to claim what was his. Not every love brings roses and sweets. Some prefer thorns and poison. ______________________________________ The Italian that I am using in the book is from G****e translate so maybe there will be some errors. _____________________________________ Next will be updated soon. This woman was going to be the end of me. “Have you ever been to Rome?” She asked, ignoring my clear longing for her. I wanted to tell her I couldn’t care less about Italy, but I was such a simp that I wanted to grant her emotional satisfaction before she let me touch her. She suddenly- and very carelessly swung a leg over my hip, causing a thrilling friction.

Because of my own greed and want, I did something, an act I wouldn’t ever be able to atone for and now I’m paying for it painfully. That woman was Aria’s mother and I murdered her. I had been in love with Giovanni even before he knew who I was but he only had eyes for Camille, a woman who never loved him. She tried to fight her dad on the matter but it was already decided. She eventually got married to Giovanni which made Damien leave Palermo.
