Damien stood in the dim light of the abandoned hall, leaning against the doorway of the old library, his shirt loose, his smile sharp and knowing.
“Took you long enough,” Damien murmured, voice silk and sin.
Eliot’s breath shattered. His body shook. “I shouldn’t be here.”
Damien stepped closer, slow, deliberate, his presence overwhelming. “But you are.” His hand brushed Eliot’s wrist again, the same place he had touched before, igniting that same treacherous fire. “Because you want to be.”
Eliot’s chest heaved, torn between guilt and longing, between chains and shadows.
