A Hope for Moonlight
“Adam, love, take slow easy breaths and Damian will be right back with a drink, okay?”
Adam groans, “I’ll be okay, kitten!” He rubs my hand and the sparks run over anywhere our skin is in contact. Damian comes out with a bottle of water and cup of coffee and says that he just put on a fresh pot of coffee for the rest of us. My mom comes running out just as Adam finishes his water and stops in her tracks as she takes in the scene of her sassy younger child standing next to the golden haired godlike man with their arms around each other. Her hesitation causes Adam to pull away a bit, but I grab his hand and pull him back.
