EXCEPTION
“Our eyes on the ground spotted Blaine Harrison meeting with Easton Moore’s enforcer. They exchanged a package—seems suspicious.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Name?”
“Chris Salvatore. The black casanova.”
My grip tightened around the phone. Chris. That snake. Betrayer, manipulator, predator. Once a supposed ally, now a monster in the shadows, trafficking girls, laundering money, running his empire of cruelty. And now he was paired with Blaine, a combination I could not ignore.
“What about the package?” I demanded.
“Still figuring it out,” Carter said. “Likely weaponry and cash, something that can be used to kill, extort, or worse.”
