“You look like hell,” he said.
I laughed, the sound bitter to my ears. “Thanks.”
Sanchez smirked. “So? What happened?”
I stretched my arms, my muscles ached from today’s work. “Hunted the buffalo then wrestled with a tiger.”
Sanchez’s eyebrows almost shot up into his hairline. “A tiger?”
“Yeah.” I shrugged. “I was minding my own business and the thing jumped me, outta nowhere. Had to take it down.”
