The prince is a man with many lives,” “But he’s not immortal, Scarlett,” I snapped “And neither is Vadirr or any of the others out there,”

As I got in my room, I saw Scarlet sitting on the edge of the bed with her body illuminated by the light coming from the bedside lamp. She was dressed in white, sheer night gown, her fairly built figure was fully outlined in the transparent gown. It was sheer and transparent and seemed to show more than it concealed, and I felt, awoke in me. Many moons it had been since I let myself indulge on anything that was even remotely a pleasure, too many moons since I spoiled myself. For a brief moment, she did not seem to see me. While she was engrossed in the documents lying on bed, she had her head bent down and I saw her sudden reaction when she lifted her head and saw me.
