Alessio ducked into the corner, horrified, as the room exploded into chaos.
“Lauren, stop! You’re going to get killed!” Alessio shouted.
I shoved through the side entrance, tearing through the security to reach them. I could see it in Sebastian’s eyes—dark and vacant, consumed by instinct. His hand was already on the blade sheathed to his side.
God, no. Not here. Not like this.
“SEBASTIAN, DON’T DO IT!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.
He froze mid-draw, his knuckles white from the pressure. His jaw tightened, teeth grinding with raw restraint. His eyes burned into Lauren, who was still struggling against the men holding her back like a feral dog.
