We’re not either,” Christopher said. “Yeah, Selena is the only real Catholic in the house,” Bruce said and shoved three pieces of pancake into his mouth.

She had always thought such words were forbidden, never imagining Selena would actually say them aloud. "What's the matter? It's just the two of us here. What harm is there in cursing him? By the end of the day, she and Selena were chatting like old friends. It turned out to be a genuinely lovely day. The christening was intimate, held at Selena’s yoga studio. Rome was chosen as one of Baby Polo’s godmothers. Connie would’ve wanted to be one too, but tradition forbade siblings from being godparents to the same child. Later in the evening, after Selena had stepped out to walk the last guest out and Baron had gone to tend to their sleeping child, Rome and Connie were left alone in the cozy studio’s living area.
