SHAWN One minute I’m sitting on my bed, still in yesterday’s clothes, staring at nothing in particular and the next, I’m waking up to sunlight cutting through the curtains and a dull heaviness sitting behind my eyes. For a second, everything feels normal. Then it comes back.The pack. The bond. Kane. I exhale slowly, dragging a hand over my face before reaching for my phone on the nightstand. A notification blinks on the screen. Mike. " I know you left.Just… whatever you decide, I'm on your side."

" She shouted. Yeah. I heard that clear. Sunshine took Jacob's hand, tilting her little face and sweetly coaxing, "Let's play with him together! Okay? Okay?" Jacob hesitated at Sunshine's charming request, but before he could respond, his phone rang. "Speak."

Sunny is always so cheerful, and for friends, she is always lavish in her praise. Lucien's figure suddenly flashes through the door. He and two directors are walking out of the office. "Nina, it's great! The president is going out! We can relax afternoon!" Sunny happily says to Nina with chat box. Wendy also sees Lucien's figure outside the door. Her eyes fall on Nina's face. Then she gets up and walks to the tea room with her hips wiggled. It's lunchtime. Sunny comes to clap Nina's shoulder happily and says, "Nina, let's go and have lunch!"

To the drive. I needed to talk. Listen. Blend. Two girls walked in. Sweaty. Giggling. Makeup smudged but still pretty. One had green glitter all over her chest. The other held bundles of hundred-dollar bills. Stuffed in her bra. In her garter. They peeled them out. Counted quick. Laughed when they saw the numbers. I stepped closer. Smiled. “Hi girls. I’m Sunshine.” They stopped. Looked at me. Up and down. Slow.

We got out and halted our footsteps by the front of the car, admiring the setting sun and all the colors in the sky. "You ready?" I asked as I took the position, looking like I was about to run in a track event after the gun sounded. "Ready for what?" I looked up and informed him as if it were obvious, "We are going to chase the sunlight." Kiran looked back to the horizon and stared for a moment before laughing, "You aren't serious." "I told you I was going to show you how I have fun," I straightened to look at him in the eye before gesturing to the sun, "This is my fun."

“Sunshine mentioned you on the yacht… You are an actor, also. Am I right?” He smiled proudly. “Yes, ma’am, that would be me. Karlsen… That makes you Magnus’s mother.” “Exactly,” Tora said nodding. “Is Sunshine at home?” “No, not right now. Sunny went out for a morning run. She’s going to be gone for a while. Would you like to come in for a cup of coffee and a little chat while waiting for her?” Tora considered saying she’d come back later, but coffee hit the spot and this man was Sunny’s best friend. That was what she told Tora over the weekend on the yacht. Maybe she could get him to help with the current predicament.
