I’m running as fast as I can through the trees, my heart is racing. I feel like it will explode any minute. I can see the opening in the gate, my escape isn’t far off. I hear people yelling dogs barking, I know they are searching for me. I’m almost to the exit, my freedom, “Stop right there!!!” The guard yelled. I keep running, there’s a gunshot and it all goes black.

I locked Anna and myself inside my suite with the promise of not opening it until we both resolved our issues. I gave her the chance to name anything she wants me to do, that am willing to do it as long as it pulls down this wall between us. A chance which is still very open. She did say something though, but what she asks of me is something that I am never going to do. Let her go? She got to be fucking kidding. I’m willing to let Xavier go but I am never letting Anna go. She is like my better half, the only redemption I have in my world of crimes. She is like the light at the end of every tunnel and for that reason, am never letting her go.

Trevor responded showing his approval. "Your majesty but there is nothing special about Miss Crystal, she won't be able to free you from your curse. why do you think she is the one?" Lorcan questioned. "She is Lorcan, I saw it. She is the key to letting my wolf out of his cage, it's been hundreds of years already. I can feel it." Trevor remarked determined and hellbent that crystal was his redemption. "Yes your majesty, I believe your words if you think so." Lorcan simply nodded, he trusted the king's judgment because the king was like a god to him.

Her hand slowly lowered. "Or you can choose another path. Redemption isn't given freely. It can't be demanded. It can't be earned with empty apologies spoken only after defeat. Your past may explain who you became, but it doesn’t have to decide who you remain.” Her chin lifted ever so slightly, focus remaining on the demons who were hanging on her every word. I could see the familiar hope in some of their eyes, for I have felt it myself.

Sophie placed a hand on her shoulder. “You did good.” Camellia’s eyes welled up ag ain. “I just want to make it right.” “You will,” Sophie said. “But redemption comes with risk.”

I want to scream… I want to kill that son of a b*tch. “The person you are trying to call is not reachable at the moment, please send a voice message after the beep” Beep! “Hey… um. I know everything now, I know I… I messed up and should have trusted you. I can’t forgive myself and I will totally understand if you can’t forgive me either, but at least hear me out when you get back from Japan. Please give me a chance. I’ll be waiting for you”
