His Straight Pet
“Come out and face me, or do you prefer to die like worms in the dark?”
For a moment, silence.
Then, movement.
Figures emerged from the smoke—six of them, clad in dusksteel armor, faces hidden beneath mirrored masks. Akira Blades. Their elite shadows.
The frontmost one stepped forward, twin daggers spinning in his hands.
“Jude Seraphin,” he said, voice distorted through the mask. “You’ve grown too bold.”
I smiled.
“And you’ve grown too stupid.”
He lunged.
His blades moved fast, but not fast enough. I caught his wrist mid-strike, twisting until the bones snapped like dry twigs. His scream was short-lived.
