Liam’s eyes never left Derek’s face. “If anything happens to Serena—if she is hurt, if she is dead—I will have your head. Do you understand me?” Seraphina’s pulse hammered under Liam’s grip. Derek’s golden eyes had gone cold and lethal, fixed on the hand holding her. “I won't repeat myself again, Liam” For a long moment no one moved. Then Liam released her and stepped back. “Find my bethroted,” he said. “Or this does not end well for either of you.”

“Great, come at me, baby.” Seraphina blinked her every step thundering like the sky above as she invoked under the moon, “In the name of earth and moon, I, the Alpha Queen Seraphina reverse the ritual of life and death with my powers beating in this entire realm!” she echoed burning in her golden and white aura as Ryker’s dark magic wrapped around her. The ground around her cracked open with a bright light as all her protectors, including Silas, appeared in a circle around her.
