“It means we’re tied together, Beatrix,” I said softly, my gaze holding hers. “All three of us. But your bond with me… it was severed. Not broken, but hidden, buried deep in your memories.”
Her breath hitched, but she didn’t look as shocked as I’d expected. Instead, she seemed almost resigned, as though a part of her had already suspected this.
