The horse let out a whinny of protest before stopping. It stomped its feet as it huffed and shook its long mane. Its coat was as dark as the previous horses, but now that I was closer, I could see that it wasn't like any horse I had ever seen before. It was larger than any horse in Gardenia, and its eyes were a crimson red. I swallowed a gasp as I noticed its snake-like tongue.
"Goddess, above what is that thing?" Ahmes hissed as she pushed further forward, readying for a fight. I shook my head, not having an answer.
