Kael shouted. I stretched my hands out at once. Soft silver light flowed from me naturally, steady and clear, pushing outward like gentle invisible wall. It touched the churning surface, not fighting violently but wrapping around the flow and confusing its pull. I felt the water answer me… and the shark swerved away sharply, slowed as if thick mist blocked its way. Together we hauled Rico back onto safe, higher ground. He coughed and shivered, pale but unhurt. “Too close,” he breathed. “It moved faster than I thought possible.”

Cars drifted below us like abandoned toys. Raiken pulled me toward the cliff. The current dragged in the opposite direction. Toward the blue light beneath the sea. I tried to signal him. His face tightened. He could feel it too. A shape moved below us. Long. Fast. Raiken shoved me behind him. His body changed underwater. Silver fur swept across his shoulders. His arms lengthened. Blue markings flared through the darkness. The wolf burst from him. He struck the creature before I saw its face. Jaws snapped.

“Mermaid?” Jace raised a brow. “You are not scare of mermaids, are you?” “I don’t know.” she answered honestly and turned to face him. “What if the shark thinks she’s lunch?” she whispered seriously. Jace almost burst out, but he didn’t. he guide her toward the viewing area. They stood among the crowd as the massive tank came alive. Blue light deepened, bubbles rising like underwater snow. The mermaid glided gracefully through the water, her tail shimmering. Moments later, a sleek shark passed slowly behind her.

What we have next to do now is to do nothing but speed up, I said to myself but I have no idea of how we are going to speed up when Captain Babbosa said we can't go faster than this. The Dutchmen released three sharks, each of them are bigger than any shark I have ever seen, that's if I had ever seen one. The sharks are speeding such that they will catch up with us in seconds. As the sharks ran behind us, the pirates in our ship are getting prepared on how to kill them, few of us brought out guns and most of us went to the store and brought out arrows of different kinds, I never assumed they could have such thing in their ship. One brought out an object, looks like a garden fork but sharper

“I swear—I didn’t know!” Gildeon grunted. His fist clenched tighter, yanking Sharko’s head back slowly. Skin stretched. Roots tore. A scream burst out of him as patches of scalp peeled free, blood trickling down his face. “P-please, spare me!” Sharko sobbed, spit foaming at the corners of his mouth. Gildeon felt not a shred of sympathy. Not for scum like him. He summoned flame into his clawed hand, and pressed it to Sharko’s face. Fire crawled over his skin like a living thing, racing from his head down his body.

"Don't cry, Babe. Don't be afraid. It's not a shark." Holding back a sob, Barbara looked at Philip. "Not a shark?" "Yeah, didn't you see it when it jumped out just now?" Barbara shook her head. "My eyes were closed earlier. I was too scared to look." "It's black. Are there black sharks?" While biting her lips, Barbara shook her head. Her eyes occasionally glanced to the side, checking to see if any fins were approaching. "If that's not a shark, then what is?" "Orcas."

The room errupted and I unconciously clutched Kaden's arm so tight I was afraid I would leave a bruise. Shark went in straight away, his footwork swift as he directed jabs right towards Drew's face. Drew didn't go into defence automatically though he did lose his footing slightly slipping but he regainrd it and immediately attacked as well landing two quick shots to Shark's ribs. I heard some hisses of pain beside me like they felt that themselves.

Jessica was also looking at the fishes, but her perspective was a little different from Winson’s. No matter how big the aquarium was, it could never be as vast as the sea. All the fishes were confined in a limited space. Maybe the fishes were not really free but who knew? Just when she started to space out, Winson excitedly tapped her shoulder. “Mama, big fish!” Jessica regained her senses and saw a huge shark swimming towards them. Little Winson was so terrified that he shut his eyes and hugged his mother’s neck. She was also frightened by the size of the shark, and her heart raced. The moment she saw the shark, Blake’s face somehow flashed across her mind.

I clutched them tightly and continued my search until I saw a shark circling around her. my brown eyes transformed into a fiery yellow, my hands radiating flames. I directed the fire straight at the menacing shark that threatened Destiny. The flames struck the predator, causing it to sink instantly. I moved over to the defeated shark, its mouth wide open, and without hesitation, I tore its jaws apart. With Destiny in my arms, appearing barely alive, I swam upward, resurfacing as I sensed the presence of dangerous fish lurking nearby. I swam as fast as i could,to reach the safety of dry land.

And that’s when I remember Sia. “Sia! I’m drowning!”. Sia reached me a moment too late. I stop struggling, until I see the shark under water. It’s moving towards me, I’m too young to die and not by a shark attack, that will be to embarrassing for a wolf. The shark closed it teeth on my shoulders and I yell, shaking my body as though that will get it off me. Sia grabs the shark by that sharp thingy, after it has a chunk of my flesh in its mouth. Its jaws are snapping, eyes wild. He delivers a kick to the belly, and the shark growls in pain. He ignored it and focused on me.
