Bound To Ruin

Bound To Ruin

The words I hadn’t said yet burned at the edge of my throat. “She knew it was happening. She begged it to let her go. She screamed at the walls. But the prison saw her the same way it saw all of you. As something monstrous. Something to contain.” The silence grew heavy again. Not brittle this time—but grieving. A silence that understood. “She tried to stop it,” I said, finally. “At the end. When she realized what it had become. But by then it was too late. Her punishment was never-ending. And maybe that’s what broke her.

On My Professor's Desk

On My Professor's Desk

Her hand flew to her mouth, stifling a scream that threatened to tear out of her. Tears blurred her vision instantly. “I didn’t mean to…” she whispered, rocking back slightly. “I didn’t mean to…” Her gaze drifted again to the blood. There was so much of it. Too much. Her chest tightened painfully. Prison. The thought hit her like a physical blow. Prison. Years. Her life— Over. Vanessa shook her head violently. “No.” The word came out sharper this time. More certain. “No.” She pushed herself to her feet, stumbling slightly before regaining her balance.

The Entangled Prince's Choice

The Entangled Prince's Choice

After asking about her from almost every one, someone finally told them that she headed towards the prison side and they did find her there at the entrance where she was crying hard. **** She got outside of the prison and broke down in tears. She didn't have a place to go because she knew Ore would be ready to tear her head off if she stepped into that room, she didn't even know how Elora is doing. Even her family whom she did all these for were nowhere to be found. "Everything is just crumbling down no matter how I tried to mold them together. They just keep breaking down" she muttered and wiped the tears on her cheeks with the back of her hand

Dancing With Fate

Dancing With Fate

If it is joy he felt a few hours ago as he left that prison, then this must be pure happiness. Kenton ~“Mom I missed you so much. I thought I was never going to see you again. It killed me to know that while I was wasting away in that prison, you were wasting away in that hospital. I was so scared you were never going to get better.” Mary ~“My baby I thought we never going to see you get out that shit place. If it was not for your little brother then I don't think we both would have sat here today.” Kenton ~“Mom we all did what we had to do to get through what happened to dad.”

The Alpha’s Accidental Mate

The Alpha’s Accidental Mate

Her eyes widen and she starts to say something but then she catches the look on my face and the words seem to die on the tip of her tongue. I take a step toward her. My eyes never leave her face. I say, “You were at the prison.” She squares her shoulders. “What?” “Don’t bother denying it,” I say through my teeth. “Don’t you dare. I know you were there. I know that you went to see her!” She audibly gulps. “Yes…I went to see her.” “Without telling me? Why?” She stares at the ground before looking back at me. “I thought you might not understand what I was doing there, so I preferred not to tell you. Our conversation didn’t go as planned anyway.”

I absolutely LOVED this book! A couple chapters were frustrating with constant errors almost like it was rushed & not edited. BUT...with that being said, it wasn't throughout the whole book, only a few chapters otherwise it was sporadic little errors. I really suggest to read this story! refreshing

I enjoyed reading this book and felt that the plot was actually quite original and refreshing compared to the usual stories on here. I was disappointed with the ending as it was more of a summary than actual dialogue amongst the characters like the rest of the book. Just seemed to fizzle out

She's an Assassin: Falling for the Enemy

She's an Assassin: Falling for the Enemy

She screamed until her throat burned, her voice echoing off the iron walls of the prison-like hall. “Let me go! Let me out of here! I don’t belong here!” She shrieked, her voice cracking with both fury and desperation. The guards said nothing. Their faces were stone, trained not to respond, not to flinch. Their boots struck the floor in steady rhythm, drowning out Sophia’s frantic pleas. She kicked out, twisting her body violently, forcing one of them to stumble.

Aegis Group Task Force

Aegis Group Task Force

Not that what he said was interesting, but the sound of his voice soothed her. Working together was going to be incredibly difficult. She hadn't accomplished anything by the time they reached the facility where the rest of her team was being held. Miles parked and led the way inside, using his badge to move them through the process at a faster pace. Before she knew it, they were escorted into a bland room with a table and chairs. Diha stared around the room. It hadn't really sunk into her that Harper and the others were in prison. They'd had to spend the night here.
