Silent Words With K Mga Nobela at Kwento

It was actually out of many reasons, however, I doubt he wants to hear them. “Being brazen and having confidence like you do is essential in being a Silent. You should commend yourself rather than apologising,” Kael tells me. “Thank you,” is all I can dare utter. There’s a silence before Kael claps his hands together. “Alright, would you like to come with me? I need to do some testing on you.” I nod, and wordlessly I follow, unsure of where this is going to lead us.

I laughed in delight, and Ronan nearly dropped me in shock. “Clara, you laughed!” Ronan yelped. Nora smiled. “She drank some of my blood. Just a drop, and already she can make noise!” “Clara, that’s wonderful!” Ronan said. He smiled. “You have a beautiful laugh. I’ll have to think of something truly funny to say, so that I can hear it again.” Ronan, Nora, and Tracy worked together to help me learn to speak. Nora, whose father was also mute, had made a study of how sounds were formed. She was able to teach me how to position my mouth and tongue.

‌ ‍The line went dead with a sh‌ar‍p, final beep. The silence that followed was heavy. It was filled‌ only by the sound of Kai’s heavy, rhythmic breathing. He didn't move. He stared at the phone as if it were a poisonous insect.

” Kael murmured his litany just so he thought it would help motivate his lover to wake up. SILENCE... Endless silence permitted in the whole room as Kael buried his face in his palms. His shoulders shook violently as he muffled his continuous sobs. He felt so stuffy and heavy. His heart feels so heavy and he could hardly breathe! He was getting scared as he continued to talk to his lover. Zadkiel still remained unconscious. But a lone tear slowly fell from the corner of his eyes. He must have heard Kael’s nonstop mumblings.

The specific quality of a silence that followed something that landed. I stood in the bedroom doorway in the dark with my hand on the door frame and I did not breathe. Kayden said nothing. I could hear that too — the nothing of it, the particular silence of Kayden Hale choosing not to speak, which almost never happened. And then Yulian's voice again. Quiet. Steady. With every single word placed exactly where he meant it. "I've known for years."

How much does he hear? Tabitha straightens. Isla lowers her hand. No one speaks. Kieran’s expression is unreadable. “Kieran…” I whisper. He stays perfectly still for a moment, then takes one slow step forward. “Sienna…” His voice is low, rough. The bond gives me one clear message. He knows.

Dawn is still hours away, yet silver light stains the horizon, faint, unnatural. The Moon does not need darkness to remind me it is there. “You have not slept.” Kael’s voice comes from behind me. Low. Controlled. Too controlled. I do not turn immediately. I have learned that when Kael speaks that quietly, his wolf is close to the surface. “I could say the same,” I answer. He steps beside me. For a moment, neither of us speaks. The silence between us is no longer comfortable. It is crowded with everything we are not saying.

Like he was daring anyone to say something. To react wrong. To disrespect. No one did. Not a single word. Just silence. Heavy. Watching. Judging. My heels clicked softly against the marble floor. Each step echoing louder than expected. Too loud. Too noticeable. Too exposing. I focused on breathing. Slow. Careful. Controlled. Step. Step. Step. “You’re shaking,” Kael muttered quietly beside me. “I know,” I whispered back. His grip tightened slightly. Reassuring. Grounding.

After what felt like an eternity of silence, my voice finally broke through the heavy fog in my chest. “I want to see DK,” I whispered, barely recognizing the sound of my own voice. Kyle had been sitting quietly near me, his presence steady but gentle. When I spoke, he lifted his eyes to mine, and for a second, I thought he might argue, might tell me it wasn’t a good idea. His lips parted, but no words came out. Instead, he closed them again and let out a deep, quiet sigh before standing up.

The soundwaves seemed to pulse with life, a testament to the enduring power of silence. Ren added a voice loop that night: “Not all echoes begin with words.” She layered the pinecone’s ambient scratch, wind brushing bamboo, and breath held for six seconds. Then she said, softly: “This sound was gifted. We honor it by not asking for more.” Ren’s voice loop was a tribute to the pinecone’s message, a celebration of the beauty of silence and the power of listening. It was a reminder that sometimes, the most profound connections are made not through words, but through the simple act of being present.
