Winter Ash come home to meet and learn of this war in which she has to inevitably be a part of when she's led to join the werewolf community after a brief period of staying in the Ash mansion, alone. An encounter with the sorceress, Scarlett Pin — to who she had been betrothed at death as Vinci Gray who is her ancestor and former self — reveals her past life and who she truly is as a wolf in the socio-sexual hierarchy of the packs in fragmental hints. Prior to this encounter and her resolution to live within the packs, she'd witnessed, foiled and survived both a theft plot towards the valuable La Reina painting and an assassination attempt towards her. The said painting, happens to be one of the remaining works of the first Sigma and famous artist, Vinci Gray, on whose works a value boom had fallen on in the global art market. She laters move to the town in search of Scarlett, her mate who turns out to be a young male sorcerer in contrast to her expectation, after leading the werewolves to war with the vampires
