The first picture captured the little girl, her angelic face adorned with green paint, her smile infectious. Xavier couldn’t help but sigh and melt at the adorable sight. His previously furrowed brows eased, revealing a softer side of the typically stoic Alpha. As he continued to scroll through the pictures, the transformation in Xavier’s demeanor was palpable. Daisy’s radiant happiness seemed to wash over him, and a smile played on his lips. The next image showed a grumpy Liam, his tiny face contorted in a frown, arms crossed, and a pout on his lips.

"All right!" Xiao Zhao could not stop her, so she had to agree. Monique narrowed her eyes and smiled happily. "That's a deal. I'm going to do something now." Xiao Zhao nodded and looked at Monique's smiling face. The corners of her lips curled up slightly on her fair face. There was a small dimple on her pink and tender cheeks. There seemed to be a sun, moon, and stars in her black and bright almond-shaped eyes. Her facial features were still the same as before.

He just stares at my face for sometime and then, he looks away. "They are all fake. What is there to be scared of? For me ghosts aren't the scary things at all. Humans are. I hate humans so much," he says. "Humans? Not all the human are bad people," I say. "Yeah! Not all the human are bad people. Some are more stupid like you," he says as he hits on my forehead gently with his index finger and smiles. Xavier has different shades of smile. He can smile in maybe the thousand ways and this must be the most beautiful smile he has.

He was smiling and grinning so wildly. I unwrapped my legs from his waist and pushed him away. He was behaving like a fucking psycho. "Why the hell are you smiling asshole?" I snapped at him and Xander's eyes were just filled with pure amusement. "You look so cute when you are mad. You have your eyes shut out, and it makes me wonder what you will look like when you are scared. It makes me want to scare you, Karis. You are fascinating." His eyes went wide as he spoke and Xander looked like a freaking demon. Did my rebirth damage him or was he always like this?

Xander answers that question for me by pulling back the curtain of his hair and tugging aside the neck of his tunic. Xavier nodded shyly showing me the face that he drew using a Sharpie. “I’m quite impressed.” The face that he drew was really cute and somehow precise. It had a pair of really slick eyebrows, a cute curled eyelashes and the eyes, they look like anime eyes. Even the lips, it was really drawn with such impeccable precision. “I don’t believe you drew that face.” “I did. I got bored during algebra and I ended up giving Billie a face.” “Okay, I don’t want to compliment you because I still hate the fuck out of you but yeah, I guess I would say you have some talent.”

I said, “I have faith in my Wolfie. But if he does anything I am uncomfortable with, I’ll tell him. Now chop-chop. Change or do whatever you want now. I’d like to meet Wolfie." With a ‘are you serious look’, he said, “You’re not expecting me to transform or something, are you? Watch and see.” He closed his eyes, a serene expression on his face, and in an instant, Xyler’s sea-blue eyes greeted me. “Mate,” Xyler’s voice was a deeper baritone compared to Xander’s. A smile graced my lips as I hugged him. It felt like embracing both Xander and Xyler simultaneously, a union of human and wolf.
