"Now stop looking at me like that." Catherine arrives in the kitchen at six-fifteen with the energy of a woman who has been awake for an hour already and has achieved things. She looks at the snow through the window. "Good," she says. Like she personally arranged it. "Bette predicted it," I say. "Bette's been doing flowers in this valley for thirty years. She knows the weather." Catherine puts on her apron. The one that lives on the hook by the door now. "Breakfast. Sit."

Catherine had just come out of her house. She looked up at the sky as snowflakes fell to the ground. She raised her palm until the snowflakes touched the skin of her hand. Before she knew it, it was already winter, and the first snow had fallen. While enjoying the first snowfall, suddenly someone stood in front of her, making her look at that someone. "Alan?" Catherine exclaimed. Hi, good morning," he said with a big smile. "You? Why are you here?" asked Catherine, frowning.

Her stupefied gaze was fixed on me, she said, “How did you manage to sneak into the Royal Castle with a child, Shyla? Didn’t anyone notice it?” She keenly observed my body and shook her head, some incoherent words rolled out of her tongue. “She is naturally curvy, no one suspected her appearance. What should I do?” Cathy didn’t give me a chance to ask her about her identity and took out sage from her pocket, burning it for some reason. “Sit down and stay silent. I need to work.” The sage, her sitting position, and a book materializing out of thin air dried the blood flowing through my veins. My heart skipped a beat as the reality sank in: ‘Catherine is a witch!’

It seemed just a bit odd to run an A/C unit during the chilliest fall Bramshott had in twenty years. Looking around I feel my anger toward Alpha Jackson rise as I see the silver shackles that would have been used to contain and burn Kate. Catherine wasn't able to hold her hunger so, she finished the necessary things at her office and rushed down to the cafeteria. Luckily for her, they do have a cafeteria in the Blood Slashing. She is a foodie and so, always wants it near her. Thinking of the time she'd take to drive down to the street. Even when she suggested it. Everyone agreed with her. Having a cafeteria was her best decision since she became Alpha. Maybe, not totally. As she walked majestically, "Thank God I didn't wear heels.
