"This is Bun Bun." "Bun Bun," Mei said, her face perfectly serious on the screen. "He's cute." "She," Liyana corrected, very firm about it. "She. Obviously. I'm so sorry, Bun Bun." Mei bowed her head to the camera in apology, and Liyana accepted it with a small, gracious nod before setting the rabbit down and reaching for the next item in her rotation, a small brown bear missing one eye, clearly the most important object in her current universe. "This is Teddy," she announced.

The creature tilted its head, lips peeling away from bloody teeth in something that looked like a smile. “Run…” it rasped—voice broken, guttural, barely human. The sound of it slithered down her spine like ice water. Then the last word hissed out, sharp and deliberate— “…Bambiiii, run.” It took a second for her world to turn dark.

He shifts closer, cupping her cheek, wiping away her tears with his thumb. "Hey," he whispers, his thumb rubbing circles over her knuckles. "Don’t cry, love. Please." His voice turns softer, almost childlike. "I know you're scared. Hell, I’m scared too... but I swear I’ll take care of you and our pups. You don’t have to worry about anything. I'm good with kids, you know?" He chuckles nervously, wiping a tear from her cheek. "I grew up with a bunch of siblings, and I know how to handle them. Trust me, I’ve got this."

“It's actually safe. All the animals here are regularly examined, vaccinated, well-fed, and cared for.” I immediately nodded without hesitation. Good enough for me. Kael stood up and slowly approached the bunny. It sniffed the air, then looked up. Kael bent slightly, ready to grab it. The bunny took one look at him… and immediately hopped away fast, straight into a nearby bush. Kael stared after it and cursed under his breath as he watched the bunny disappear inside the bush. I burst out laughing, feeling a sense of satisfaction. It felt good seeing something unsettling Kael.

"You won't need to go to school anymore. You can just stay home and be your sister's maid. Take good care of her." "Okay." I nodded obediently, playing along. As we talked, Luna started selecting the first batch of bunny girls for tonight. She glanced at the fading red hives still covering my skin and looked away in disgust. She pointed at Drew and a few other girls. "You girls, come with me." Before leaving, Drew turned back and shot me a smug look. "Be a good little sister and wait for the good news." My chest tightened. Poor Drew had no idea what she was walking into.

Shadow snorted a laugh. It has become incredibly chaotic now. They were shouting about irrelevant topics instantly. Bunny stood in front of Shadow. His eyes gaze at Shadow’s opened legs. Shadow was sitting on a medium size rock with open legs. “Do you want to sit in between?” She gestured at the gap between her legs. His doe eyes softened, bowing his head curtly. “Sure.” Shadow opened her legs wider. In a happy hum, Bunny sat on the ground, in between Shadow’s legs, and hugged her thighs.

---------------- ----------- The next night . . . ---------------- ----------- Bunny, as it turned out, could talk for at least an hour without stopping. She was the verbal equivalent of the world's longest run-on sentence, but Shamira did not seem to mind anymore. The girl was just too damn happy to stay annoyed with. And she was certainly easy on the eyes, sitting in the passenger side of the van in tight-white denim shorts that barely covered her ass, a tied-off pink-and-white checkered shirt, and her wheat-blond hair pulled back in a pony-tail. She enjoyed flirting with passing truckers, and watching her lean out the window to talk to or yell at other motorists made Shamira grin.

Embry chuckles into the link, watching me walk over towards Ares and Benjamin who are radiating pride while watching Phoenix. “Mumma Raben! Mumma Raben I gotsted a bunny wike you!” Phoenix links excitedly while running into me with her bunny in her mouth, and everyone laughs. “You got a very good bunny, I managed to find one too,” I giggle at how adorable she is, and place my bunny next to hers making her giggle. “Bunnies good chase, fun hunt,” Phoenix admits, making me nod watching her lay down and begin to chow down on her prey.

to the bunny…? The chipmunk suddenly pointed at the bunny with a teasing grin. “You hear that, wittle bunny? I guess you better hop to it!” It said and let out a very loud laugh as it clutched its stomach from laughing. The bunny frowned at the chipmunk. I wasn't happy at all with the joke. I placed one hand on my hips and used my free hand to slap the chipmunk. It stopped laughing as it looked at me. A paw placed on the cheek that I just slapped. “What did I-”

The giant bunny's body started trembling, its arms started to expand! I immediately probed the child, 'What do you mean by boom!? Tell me!' The voice hurriedly answered in an excited tone, ‘Like… explode…!’ Then it giggled. I could almost imagine its eyes twinkling and hands up in the air. Pop? Boom? Explode? 'You mean like a bomb?!' I asked hysterically, unable to restrain my emotions. I can't help but panic. The bunny is having its revenge on us! It wants to retaliate because that's what we did.
