What did that mean? I shook Luca’s hand and said hello before Colt finished, “And that is Onyx Bourbon, our top Delta.” When I looked at Onyx I was taken aback for a moment. He looked so serious with those dark eyes and that dark brown hair. He almost looked brooding and angry at the world, yet he wasn’t. He looked at me as if I was the most mesmerizing sight in all of mankind. I moved forward to shake his hand and before I could register what was happening, Onyx had wrapped his impressively strong and soft arms around me and was giving me a hug.

His wet shoes squeaked on the wooden floor and he let out a louder loud groan. "Ugh! Can this day get any worse?" He ran a hand through his damp hair, causing droplets of water to fall to the ground.

I crouched beside Onyx and pressed my palm against his shoulder. His muscles were tight, his breathing fast. I focused on him, pushing calm through the link between us.

Onyx is not here.” I informed him too. “What? He was just right behind us. The storm has started, and it will be dangerous to go outside.” he commented.
