The loud ringing of the table clock jolted Amara awake. With a tired sigh, she stretched her arms, slid out of bed, and knelt down to say her morning prayers. After finishing, she sat on the edge of the bed, her thoughts drifting to the twins.
It had been one month since they left for the Alpha’s Academy, and she missed them terribly. During the first week of their departure, she felt lonely—as though a part of her had left with them. Every night, she would dream about them, especially their last conversation together.
