I sighed deeply, rolling my eyes as my lips finally moved. “What… did you do to your hair?” I asked slowly, eyeing her like a problem I wasn’t ready to solve. For a moment, I thought Vanessa was the one who walked in. But it’s all Wendy. Wendy twirled a glossy lock of hair between her fingers. “It’s for a role, baby. You know that producer I told you about? He says red is hot this season.” She winked, stepping into my space, hips swaying like she owned the air between us.

Havermouth, Five Years Before Rhett pulled his hair back and tied it into a ponytail at the back of his head. His black shirt felt stiff against the bulge of bicep as he tightened the hair-tie – he’d picked one that had been freshly returned from the dry-cleaner and was still pressed into crisp seams. It was new, the buttonholes still tight, and he couldn’t remember buying it, so assumed that it was one that his mother had bought for him.

His hair wasn't long, but there were a few strands falling over his forehead. He pushed the wet strands away, revealing his forehead. With that, all his beautiful features were exposed with nothing in the way. He looked alluring like this.

Monica stepped out of the locker room, still sore from rehearsal, her bag slung over one shoulder. The elevator doors had just opened when she saw him. Spencer. “Hey,” she said softly, eyes darting away. She’d managed to sneak out of his apartment before dawn, before he woke up—before she could regret what almost happened. Thankfully apart from making out, Spencer didn't go further which was quite impressive judging from the heat between them. He wasn’t wearing the usual mask today. Just a plain black hoodie and dark jeans. The kind of look that made him blend in, yet somehow stand out more. He was acting like a worker instead of a boss.

She happily greeted and took her seat on the table staring around for those seated. Her mother... Her sister... And of course her father whom she haven't seen in a long time. Her mother who was biting a sandwich had her mother hang open as she stared at Kendall. Her sister and father were utterly shocked. "Kendall what the heck happened to your hair? " Her mother rasped. She rolled her eyes. "sis.. Your hair was your signature in your modelling career. Why the f*ck did you cut it off? And you even dyed it red!"

He gently demanded. Feeling her body give into his command, she leaned back on her heels, forcing her hands to rest on the sink behind her and peered up from beneath her long lashes. The look that sat sternly on Reid’s face was one of an intensity that Maya wasn’t able to decipher. His dark bold eyes were squinting down at her, with his brow creased. Reid’s lips were tightly shut and his jaw ticking as he thought of his next step. His perfectly messy dark hair had grown out during the past couple of weeks and a traitorous strand took home on his forehead. Maya’s hands itched to push it back to join the rest of its friends but she couldn’t bring herself to move.

Still he watched. Then she licked her lips. Reid smiled. His little pet was getting nervous. Good. She should be nervous. Father was angry and spoiling for a fight. * * * Reid entered the room. He watched as her shoulders straightened. Her eyes narrowed. Like the rest of them at the compound, she was dressed in black cargo pants and a fitted black t-shirt. As much as he regretted having to cut off her hair, long hair left too much DNA evidence behind. He had to admit the sleek bob suited her. Without all that hair framing her face, her bright eyes appeared twice as large. Her lips and cheekbones equally so.

Another source of concern for him is that she is no longer responding to his chats and phone calls. They hadn't seen each other in two days, and the last time he saw her was the night he kissed her. He believes she is avoiding him because of that incident. "Hey!" Spencer appeared from behind him, which startled him. He was astounded by his new hairstyle. His shoulder-length hair has vanished. His hair is now short and neat, like that of a soldier. "What happened to your hair?" he frowned at Spencer. Spencer sighed and scowled before taking a seat next to him. "It's a complicated story."
