Adira said as she stood next to me, making me jump in surprise. “Yeah, they look interesting. Is it okay if I borrow one? I know you don’t know us, but I promise to return it as soon as I’m done reading it,” I said, passing my hands on the books while feeling sparks when I touched them. A current ran through my body and my hand subconsciously traveled to a book with no title on the spine, but it sure caught my attention.

He looked like a character from a spy novel, and Anne and Tris exchanged a curious glance. "Can I help you?" Tris asked, trying to sound friendly and welcoming. The man smiled, his lips curling up in a sly grin. "I'm looking for a book," he said, his voice low and smooth. "A very special book. It's not on the shelves, I'm told." Anne and Tris exchanged a skeptical glance. What kind of book could this man be looking for? "What's the title of the book?" Tris asked, trying to sound neutral.

Yeah, OK, he’d relax his iron-clad willpower for a few minutes… and just double down on the crunches at the gym the next day. Mind made up, Griff picked up his empty cup and got to his feet. He ambled over to the counter, carefully keeping his face averted and his back to Claire. Spiderman spotted his approach and his dark eyes lit up in his lean, handsome face. He cares”, he says, and I understand. He actually cares about my safety. I walk fast towards the double doors of the office while we hear guns shooting and men shouting. I lock the doors behind us and press the book on the bookshelf that I know will open the secret door behind the bookstand. The door opens, and we slide inside, and it closes again behind us, and I press the light switch turn it off, and I start guiding spider through the dark tunnels, only using the torches from our phones to get some light.

I pick up a nearby book to cover my face in an attempt to make it look like I was casually reading, and not staring at his wet, almost naked body. “Good morning, Cordy,” he waves, the sun glistening off his wet, well-formed abs. “Good morning,” I wave back, “I’m just getting caught up on a little reading while soaking up some sunshine..” “Oh good, sunshine and reading are just what you need,” he nods in approval. He tilts his head and smiles when he reads the cover. I flip the book over quickly to see what he is smiling at and almost instantly throw it down. But it is too late, much like Jude standing on the sidewalk below, the picture of the centaur and his lady love are grinning up at me.
