“What?” “You are the most unique human I’ve met,” answered Bobby, seriously, which was highly unusual of him. “What do you mean?” I question, slowly. “I can see peoples’ auroras, and yours is different. Most humans are either white or yellow, witches are red, Annabella was all red, meaning she was powerful. I’m half red and half white, so I’m not as powerful in magic. Yours is… well mostly white, yet there is bits of red and black mixed in, blended. You’re powerful in some way, but I don’t know how. Maybe it was your aurora that brought on the ghost that first day of school, because a ghost’s aurora is black,” explained Bobby.

Therefore, he was totally uninterested in what they were talking about. “Do you have spirits?” Heather raised her eyebrows at Matthias. She hadn’t drunk spirits for a long time, for everyone drank either red wine or imported wine while discussing things overseas. “I do.” Matthias seldom drank spirits as well, but he kept a few good bottles of spirits at home for decoration. “Let’s drink something different today,” Heather suggested with great interest. The bartender leaned forward and opened his mouth to speak while Margaret leaned backward to avoid the odor that oozed from his mouth. “We don't sell champagne here, Pretty.” He said with a smirk that exposed his yellowish-brown tooth. “What do you sell, then?” Margaret asked, her expression unyielding. Still leaning forward, He proudly listed what he had. “Beer, Gin, vodka, whiskey, tequila, rum, soda, anything but champagne for a woman of your specialty…” the bartender drawled in a way Margaret’s stomach churned with disgust.

He let out a chuckle and then said, ‘I can tell the difference between high-quality spirits and cheap spirits. ‘What else can you tell?’ I asked. ‘About liquor or about you?’ he asked, a mischievous grin planted on his face. ‘Both,’ I matched his energy. He leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes, his hands clasped in front of him. ‘You are like a reposado tequila. Just slightly aged, meaning still young but have the potential to turn to Anejo.’ It looks like Alejandro had some knowledge about spirits, but could it beat mine?

His large fingers point to the napkin. “Oh. Um, it’s three shots.” I will myself to meet his eyes. “Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, and Johnnie Walker.” A head tilt now accompanies his smirk. “The Four Horsemen adds a shot of Jameson or Jose Cuervo.” I gulp. “Like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.” I prattle on. “You’re an enigma.” “Excuse me?” The more we talk, the more I need my drink.
