I should leave him alone with his problem, I mean, even I have mine to solve.” I muttered, just wanting to leave quickly and quietly without disturbing him. "That winter patrol, remember? The night of the meteor shower at High Moon Ridge." I stiffened. The memory of that passionate night was private, meant only for Sylvan and me. What exactly had Kevin seen? "Your mate has a very distinctive scent," Kevin continued, his eyes sliding appreciatively over me. "Even through layers of winter clothing, I could detect that sweet berry fragrance."

His magic was useless. "What... what is wrong?" Scarlett stammered, fear clutching at her heart. "It's Alpha Xian's black magic," Kevin replied through gritted teeth, his face set in grim determination. "There's nothing physical to hit... it's just dark smoke everywhere..." Kevin turned around and warned Scarlett, "Miss Scarlett, just run to your tent and no matter what happens, don't step out" As Kevin spoke, the figure let out a hollow, echoing laugh that reverberated around them. With lightning speed, it lashed out, striking Kevin with a force that sent him flying back, crashing into the ground with a heavy thud. This time, the impact rendered him unconscious.

"She put these marks on me. So they would know who not to kill." Kerry grabbed his wrist and stared. "What are these?" Brad pulled away and stood up on weak legs. "Is it the full moon?" he asked, trying his best to look out his window. "When is it? When are they coming?" Kerry stood up. "It's tomorrow night." Brad sat down and put his palms over his face. "She was mad I hadn't found the book. Do you have the book?" He leaped forward, shaking Kerry. "Please, give her the book."

I was unintentionally opening the window again. "you are supposed to be resting" a voice startled me up to my awareness. I slowly turned and sauntered over to my bed. "It's not safe tonight, it's never safe during full moons" uncle stark leisurely sat on the edge of my bed. "We have loose bears running wild in our forests and some spotted wolves , the full moon kinda gives them some kind of connection to nature. Their desire to run freely is multiplied." Uncle stark stood up then headed over to the half-closed window. He closed the window firmly then drew the curtains " it's best if it remains shut"

Stacey sips on her own drink like Riley, as if we are making problems up for the sake of it. “I made a critical mistake. I pushed for the full moon—because of Selene’s power. But I forgot what night it falls on.” I had found this out a while ago. I meant to tell everyone before, but I had gotten rather distracted. “Caleb, the full moon is only two more nights away. I think at this point we are either prepared or screwed. Just have a drink,” Stacey smirks, gesturing to the pitcher in front of them. Riley snickers, as does Aurora; only Kara seems to hide her amusement.

The figure slipped away down the corridor, a cruel smile tugging at their lips. And far away in the palace, Sebastian’s eyes snapped open as a pulse of light crossed the night sky. The Moon shone brighter but for the first time in his life, it filled him with dread instead of comfort. He turned toward the window, his voice trembling. “She’s fighting to reach me…” Caius stepped beside him, staring at the glowing horizon. “Then we fight to reach her.” But deep in the darkness of the forest, Draven watched the same Moon, his lips curling into a dangerous smile.

“The wizard said…it’s going to appear soon.” Asher’s eyes flickered; his wolf surged beneath the surface. “When?” he growled. Spencer hesitated only a moment. “On the full moon.” “The full moon…” Asher murmured, a primitive growl coiling in his throat. His eyes glowed with bloodthirst as he turned abruptly and strode for the door. “Is the car ready?” “Waiting outside the territory,” Spencer replied, snatching the tablet from the desk where the live footage was still playing and hurrying after him.
