Their jaws were a mess of interlocking metal teeth, wired with exposed cables that sparked when they snapped. Their “eyes” were single, red lenses in the center of their heads. As one, the lenses tilted up toward us. “Oh,” I breathed. “Of course we get robo‑Cerberus.” “Company,” Grant said grimly. “Don’t stand still.” The first wave hit the base of the overpass, metal claws scraping concrete as they scrambled up the broken incline. Corvin stepped forward.

the smoke still continued to say. When the smoke felt that the aura of their kind was finally gone, he took a wisp of air from the surrounding, exploding in a poof out of nervousness. Just then, the Cerberus who was looking for its owner once again appeared beside where the hoodie man stood, now seeing that there was no one there and just a wisp of evil smoke, she once again wanted to roar loudly, but stopped, seeing kids passing by with a hippy smile while licking an ice cream cone that was inherently strange for her.

The crimson eyes in the canyon didn't just blink; they seemed to ignite, casting a blood-red hue over the ash-grey snow of the Ever-Dark. A low growl reverberated through the ground, vibrating up my legs and shaking the marrow in my bones. From the depths of the abyss emerged a behemoth. It wasn't a wolf, nor a dragon. It was a Cerberus of the Void—a three-headed hound made entirely of compressed ash and obsidian bone, standing as tall as a watchtower.

Can you overload it? Burn it out from your end before the Cerberus trace locks onto the new route?” A static-filled pause. Then, her cool voice. “Affirmative. High-voltage surge from my tool kit. It’ll blow the circuit and fry the physical link. But it will also trigger a full, irreversible lockdown on their end. And there will be a flash. I will be made.”

I nodded at the parchment on the floor but I didn't reach out for it. Cerberus stared at me with doubt in his eyes. "I'll touch it first if you are scared." I grinned at him. "I'm not scared!" Cerberus grunted like a kid. I burst into laughter. He was actually really cute when he wanted to talk. "I can still touch it first, just to show you." I reached out slowly to the parchment. Cerberus grabbed me on my wrist with lightning speed, but then he let go of me as if he touched fire.

The growl became a roar. A steel claw punched through the floor, scattering sparks. Then another. The creature hauled itself up: a massive wolf-shaped frame made of muscle and machine, eyes burning electric blue. Tubes pulsed along its neck where veins should have been. The Cerberus prototype—Julian’s final experiment. Aiden whispered, “He merged a rogue with tech.” Dante didn’t answer; he was already firing. Bullets tore through metal plating, but the beast hardly slowed. It lunged, claws raking concrete where they’d stood a second earlier. The impact shook the whole chamber.

He had lifted the scout and opened his mouth. Terror had frozen him in place. His impulsive hero act had disappeared. As Ceberus took a slow bite of his victim’s head. It wasn’t the wet crunching sound that had really gotten him, it was the fact he had slowly adding pressure to his victim’s head and the sudden scream of his pray. “Ben...ed..ic” He growled. Tilting his head, eyes wide and absent of anything humane. Cerberus opened his mouth. He had let the remains of what used to be part of a human slip from his muzzle.

" Cobra replied. "Of course, I will put that as part of the arrangement." Cobra nodded, "Good." After his underling spoke, he walked away from him while Cobra smiled. He stared at the chip which he had just recovered due to Bryce's help and said, "Queen Scorpion, your days are numbered." After studying for another hour, Queen got up and stretched her body. "Okay, I'm done reading. I just need to go over it a second time, but I need your help."

Wait that's a bad thing, they've actually just shown me their identities, they're not planning on letting us go. "Can you please shut that thing up?" Small robber dude shouts from the front, I look down at the baby I didn't know how, I wasn't a mother and that's who she wanted right now. I bounce her but it wasn't working again she didn't want me! Tall robber dude leans over to the front opening the glove box, while smacking the other dude up the head. "She's a baby idiot! Here don't worry it's clean" he says sitting back holding a pink dummy in his hand, I take it from him putting into her mouth which slowly makes her calm down.
