Ghost waved him off, though his chest still raced. “You need to relax,” Luca yelled over the gunfire. “I can’t,” Ghost shouted back. “Not with you here.” Luca’s gaze softened for a fraction of a second. Then it hardened again as another guard came around the corner. Together, they moved, striking with brutal efficiency. Minutes later, the warehouse was secure. Cartel members were bound and restrained, their weapons collected, and the Serpents were breathing heavily but alive. Ghost and Luca stood side by side, rifles lowered, surveying the scene.
