Run to Ground

Run to Ground

Pushing me down the route it wants me to take. Jim was panting and his lungs were beginning to burn. He wasn’t in the best shape and the running was taking its toll. Halfway down the new path he saw the grave. He recognised it instantly. The gravestone was unique; Jim knew every inch of it intimately. The moment he saw it he knew why the thing in the ground had guided him here.

Run.

Run.

The girl looked up at me but didn’t respond. “Hey,” I said again. “My name is Lya.” “How are you touching that?” Her voice quivered, motioning toward the cell door. I glanced down at it, realizing that it did, in fact, smell of silver. “Oh uh…” I thought fast. This kid was like me, but the ones who were inevitably listening didn’t know that. “Is it supposed to have a chemical on it or something? It just seems like a normal steel door.” “It’s silver!” she insisted. “How are you not burning your skin off?”

You Can Run But...

You Can Run But...

If it sinks, it's real; if it floats. The end tone was loud in his ears, and Axel froze, turning immediately to face the stones on the table. Soon he was racing to the table, picking a couple of the stones, and running to the table where he grabbed a glass bowl and slammed it under the sink. "Boss, is anything wrong?" He ignored Ansaldo, glaring at the bowl that the sink tap was filling now, and then he shut the tap and dropped the stone into the water. His heart sank. It floated!

Mint Mocha
Reading again. I've missed these stories. BOOK 1 *A crazy Don obsesses over a beautiful mistake, and his brother is the cleanup man. BOOK 2 *An heir is on a mission and stumbles upon some treasure that changes his life. It was worth the read a year ago and now today. ...️

Loved both of these books. Love the idea of having the spin offs. Hopefully that will come to light. Other than some grammar errors the storyline kept me glued to it. My heart is sad that it’s over, but I loved every bit of it.

A Nanny For The Billionaire's Triplets

A Nanny For The Billionaire's Triplets

"Are you sure you won't get hurt because of me?" I shook my head. "Trust me." She smiled, and we both positioned ourselves after the instructions were given. It would be a ball race, where I would hold Ella’s hand and we would both run to one end of the lane were there was a basket filled with balls, we would run to the other end and drop the ball. The one with the highest ball after the time elapse would be the winner. We were waiting for the whistle when a loud voice cut through the air.

Scarred by fate

Scarred by fate

“I wanted to see how far you could maintain that pace.” “And?” I arch a brow, waiting for the result. “Another 3 kilometres. You just ran 8 kilometres almost as fast as this lot ran 5.” I blink at him, stunned. Eight kilometres? I didn’t expect that. By the time the last of the runners trickle back onto the field, I’m fully recovered. Baxter has everyone stretch now that we’re warmed up, while Blake retrieves the infamous glass bowls for the next draw. As Blake sets up, I spot a group walking over—Alice, Princess Charlotte, King James, Kayla, Pauline, and Sasha. My stomach twists. Great, more of an audience. Just what I needed.

Steel and Sin

Steel and Sin

She felt Nolan’s body tensed. “Something is wrong,” he muttered into his earpiece. No kidding. But nobody slowed down. The Steel Vipers rolled in hard, with all their allies. Bikes fanned out in a tight formation, trucks sealed off the rear, and every single rider was armed to the teeth. They stormed Pier 17. The attack hit instantly. A gunshot cracked through the air. Then another. Then a full rain of bullets. Gunfire exploded from the tops of shipping boxes. Shadows came alive with men firing rifles. Bullets sparked off metal and tore up the pavement.

Survive Me, Darling

Survive Me, Darling

Each flag spread wide and near across the field. A steel raffle stand emerged with silver metal balls locked in a glass globe and waiting to be drawn. “Let pod one—step forward.”

STEEL'S CURVY SIN & SECRETS

STEEL'S CURVY SIN & SECRETS

I said, pushing off the wall and strolling closer, “you need my jokes now more than ever. Otherwise, you’re gonna brood yourself into an early grave and trust me, no one wants to explain that cause of death at your funeral.” I pitched my voice dramatic: “Here lies Steel, survived bullets, blades, and betrayal… but couldn’t survive a dry spell.” Steel groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “You’re enjoying this too much.” “Little bit, yeah.” I grinned, dropping into the chair across from him. “So, what’s the plan? Cold showers? Meditation? Or are you just gonna glower at the ceiling for three months and hope your self-control doesn’t snap?” He ignored me, which was as good as admitting he di
