I have read books and visited sorcerers, black magicians, and priests—trying to figure out how they are still alive. Mother had told me stories as a kid. I remember quite vividly one time when she called me to her chamber, her eyes sparkling with great trepidation. She had told me stories of the vampires—how the wolves almost went extinct fighting them off. How they attacked, destroyed, and killed us, humans, and other supernaturals out there.
