Seeking solace, I entered an empty classroom- the History room-where a small TV sat. Placing my tray on the desk, I turned on the TV and inserted a tape. I sat alone in the dark, quietly eating as I watched the video. The soft glow of the TV screen was the only light, and I found solace in this ambiance. That is, until the door opened. I quickly looked up, ready to apologize to the teacher, but instead, Kai stood there with his tray in hand. He gave me a small smile before walking in and sitting next to me.
