Pelican Bay Security

Pelican Bay Security

"Do you need us to bring an extra lawn chair?" Tabitha asks, tapping her pencil on the piece of lined paper where she started a list for tonight's festival. A group of us — me, Katy, Bennett, Tabitha and Ridge — are meeting up to watch the Fourth of July fireworks together down by the pier. Probably the place everyone is getting together to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. I'd planned to bring a beach towel and sit on the sand. It's not like I packed a lawn chair in my car when I made the cross country drive to Pelican Bay, but I'm not one to refuse the offer of a seat. "Sure, if you don't mind."

OMG one of the BEST books I’ve read on this app. Freaking hilarious with lots of action and romance. I was literally LOL-ing. Like late at night. Laying in my bed. At 2am. Cause I couldn’t stop reading. I’m pretty sure you all know what I mean… could not stop reading!!!

Absolutely 1000% the best stories I have ever read!!! I was so hooked I have read almost 24 hours straight because I didn’t want to stop. I have laughed, smiled, been on edge when action unfolded, even shed a tear or 12 more in the last day reading this than in 40 years of daily reading. I want more

Temptation of Mine

Temptation of Mine

I scoffed at her statement. Ryker and I perched on a massive tree branch, basking in the warm glow of the bonfire as we savored the refreshing beer I had brought along. Manong Jose placed it in the cooler, resulting in its icy temperature. As I glanced over my shoulder, a heartwarming sight greeted my eyes—two young girls immersed in joyful play along the sandy shores. They find themselves at the precipice, their hands intertwined, eagerly awaiting the crashing wave. With each surge of water, they hastily retreat, their laughter echoing through the air, reminiscent of carefree youth.

The Alpha's Secret Luna

The Alpha's Secret Luna

I’d wanted to sneak down here and cool off in the sparkling waters since the pool was apparently off-limits. I follow the trickle of people headed down toward the lake, escorted by Jamie — obviously. Even though it’s already 7 pm, it’s still light outside. The sun is slowly sinking behind the lake and the sky is just starting to set ablaze with fiery colors, especially with the columns of smoke from the bonfires. It’s a warm summer night, the bonfires were to provide entertainment and ambiance, not heat.

It's always so refreshing reading a well written story!! Enzi is kind of a jerkface, but I really love how well all the characters developed, and I'd absolutely love to read other stories with these characters in it!

I am really loving this so far. I’ve read five of this authors books on another platforms and her books are always suck rollercoaster. You never quite know who’s hood or who’s bad and what each characters motivations are. She keeps you guessing.

Will You Marry Me, Again?

Will You Marry Me, Again?

Just like that, her grip on the pamphlet tightened. Hope muttered, “A thousand fireworks couldn’t outshine your resplendence. Wow. How romantic! This is one of the most famous shows on Maya Cove. The Firework Festival. “Also, they’re using fireworks that are both safe for the environment and have a high production value! Can we catch this show tonight, Maia?” Maia was distracted, so she had not heard what Hope said. “Maia?” “Hmm?” “Let’s catch the Firework Festival tonight. I think it’s cool. Also, it’s highly recommended!”

We talked casually for a few hours, watching the people milling about. Julie spotted us and made her way towards us. ‘There you are’ she said to me, ‘we are headed to the coast for a bonfire. Are you interested in coming? Your friend can come too’ she finished quickly eyeing Lyosha and biting her plump bottom lip enticingly. ‘Sure, I’d love to go’ I said before Lyosha had time to answer, ‘what about you?’ I asked looking at him. ‘I suppose if all the girls going will be as pretty as you two, I should go’ he said smoothly. Julie giggled at this and I saw Lyosha’s eyes appraise Julie’s long legs.

Ex-Husband's Relentless Desire

Ex-Husband's Relentless Desire

Travis, sensing my mood, fell silent. The sunlight outside the window made the road shimmer with heat. As I closed my eyes, memories of my first encounter with Hugh flooded back. It was a scorching summer five years ago. I was still a medical student then. During the summer break, my friends and I went camping in the mountains. That night, despite my initial objections, we decided to have a bonfire. We thought it would be safe near the stream with no wind. Our carelessness led to a forest fire.

Obsession of the Ex-husband

Obsession of the Ex-husband

Zachary explained to Joey. The couple approached them. "Never seen these before?" the woman asked Joey and Zachary with a smile. "Nope," Joey replied, smiling back. "We usually have a lot of them every summer. But if they go ahead and turn this village into a tourism spot, there might be less of them around," the woman commented and walked away with the man. Once the couple was gone, Zachary leaned into Joey and said, "She's right, you know. Fireflies don't fancy crowded places."

Seems like an okay story…. But I absolutely hate it when the synopsis tells you the story will be about one thing and the story itself is about something completely different. I was really hoping for the story reflected in the overview, and 300 chapters in… it isn’t.

I really like this book, but I'm feeling sorry for Zachary. I wished they would soften Joey's personality up. She comes off cold. The author needs to bring them together soon and form an alliance and wrap this book up.

Our Little Dirty Secret

Our Little Dirty Secret

FLASHBACK FIVE YEARS AGO ~ NIGHT ~ ~ LAKE VIEW BEACH ~ A young-looking June stood in front of the beach, she had walked up to this part of the beach this late in the night because she knew no one would be there by this time and no one would stop her from doing what she needed to do. The snow was falling, the air was chilling and the water was cold, it was just the right temperature, she walked into the water with both tears dripping from her eyes and melting into her skin, with each step she felt no regret as she pulled off her jacket, her cloth, and underwear until she was naked.

My Cheating Husband Regretted Everything After I Married a Powerful Billionaire

My Cheating Husband Regretted Everything After I Married a Powerful Billionaire(Their Betrayal, Mogul's Obsession)(Betrayed Wife, Desired by The Mogul)

On Friday, she returned to Green Apple Academy as usual. Bobby and Ellie asked her, “Can we go to your place this Saturday and hang out with the cool lady?” Sunny said apologetically, “Probably not this week. Daddy, Mommy, and I are going to Firefly Valley.” “Firefly Valley? I know that place. All the fireflies in Northhaven are there.” “Yes.” Sunny nodded, remembering her dad’s instructions. “Don’t tell anyone yet, okay? My dad wants to surprise my mom.”
