He wasn't even sure about what he was talking anymore. He was not even in his senses now, while more hurt was she when she heard his next words. "YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A BURDEN TO EVERYONE. "Ryder, Elena's brother." He replied, pressing on his words. A wave of warm shock flooded within me and I kept my face neutral as possible. Why was even bothering? I stepped away, heat pooling in my groin despite myself. "This is serious," I hissed. "My dad... your mom... if they find out—" "They won't," he interrupted, popping a strawberry into his mouth with casual grace. "Unless you can't handle a little secret." His dark eyes challenged me, daring me to push back.

Now I'm standing here like an idiot, waiting for Marcus to show up, because apparently I'm incapable of planning ahead. Why didn't I just drive myself? Right. Because Nina said she'd buy me coffee if I rode with her. And I am weak for free caffeine. So here I am. Waiting. And Marcus is probably balls deep in some blonde right now. Nyra stared at the screen blankly for a few seconds before raising an eyebrow, “Why am I looking at a picture of Professor Moore?” Elara turned her head sharply to her friend, tears pooling in her eyes, “That's my brother” Nyra inhaled loudly, the sound harsh in the quiet of the room, like she’d been punched in the chest. “What the fuck.”

Evan's expression remained unreadable. "What about him?" He asked and the man replied. "He was attacked three nights ago.... He sustained a gunshot wound." Evan slowly set the whiskey glass down. "And?" "He survived... The doctors say he'll recover." Evan chuckled. A low... Almost amused sound. "Lucky him." The man remained silent because he knew that tone, it never meant anything good. Evan walked toward the large window. "So..." "My dear brother is finally bleeding." His reflection smiled. "Who did it?"

Back at the cemetery, when the man had said he remembered one of the men saying i had killed their Alpha's brother, Athena's jaw had dropped in shock as she staggered, almost feeling dizzy. James who had been closeby held her steady, preventing her from falling. "It is not who i think it is, is it?", she had asked in a fearful voice. "I am afraid it is Athena", i had replied. "This Alpha Federick has to be Sabastian's brother". Just to be sure, i had James do a little digging, reaching out to his contact in Sabastian's pack and after some enquiries, feedback came confirming that Alpha Sabastian did have an older brother by the name Alpha Federick.
