Who makes me heart beat at a wilder speed just by a look at him and at the same time give me a fascinating peace. I am no more denying the fact that how I crave him. His warmth. His proximity. His scent. Everything about that man drives me crazy yet I crave him with every fibre of my existence. But, what about him? What exactly does he want from me? Sex? Sexual needs? I don't know. And if the answer is yes. Then, I am not in for it. I might crave that man like I am a prey desperate to be ruined by my predator. But I am most certainly not ready to be played like a toy.

“I… I can’t betray you for whatsoever reason. Adrian’s eyes softened, but the tension lingered, a fragile thread holding together what could so easily unravel. “Good,” he murmured, his voice heavy with emotion. “We’ll survive. We always do. But remember… temptation doesn’t vanish because it’s denied. It lurks, waiting for weakness.”

I'm thinking of possible reasons to explain that man's actions, but there was nothing that came to mind. "So I'm guessing that you still don't have friends here, right? Cause if it is, then I could let you join me and my friend's circle. We're quite diverse, there’s the stupid, smart, even jocks, but the good kind though. And lastly, where I belong, the gorgeous ones." She said the last sentence confidently while flipping her hair to the back. Wait... Friends? Many? Diverse? I suddenly forgot that I was just harassed since I got excited when I heard her say friends. I looked at her face and she was smiling down at me. "So, do you wanna?" she asked me again, and I briskly nodded my head.

But let's face the facts: He was a temptation I can never allow myself to give in to. Never!

He playfully spanked my left but and squished it with so much eagerness. "I want to see you dancing, babe. Come on!" He whined like a kid and put both of his hands behind his neck before licking his lower lip. "Come on." After a minute of convincing, his eyes finally lit with happiness when I stood up from his lap. I took my tie out of my hair and messed it up a little to seduce him. His lips parted when I took my shirt off in front of him, leaving me with my brassier. I swayed my hips from side to side, my hands roaming around my shoulder unto my breast, slightly fondling it.

The knowledge sent a thrill through me, tightening the coil of pleasure even more. “Annabelle…” he croaked, voice strained. I wasn’t sure if it was meant as a question, a plea, or a warning. Maybe all three. He still hovered by the entrance to my cubicle, clearly torn between running away and—well, I wasn’t sure what the alternative was. Coming closer? The idea made my pulse jump. I was beyond rational thought. The combination of the pill’s potent effects, my already building climax, and Ethan’s presence creating this taboo exhilaration had me under its spell.

Margaret always made sure everything looked perfect. The warm smell of the food filled the room. It was my favorite. Chicken tortilla and fries with an extravagant fruit pot by the side. His voice pulled me back, low and patient. I blushed, shifting in my seat. “Yes, Pastor. I… I was just thinking about the verse on temptation.” He studied me for a long moment, those kind eyes darkening slightly. “Temptation is a powerful thing, isn’t it? It creeps in when we least expect it and makes us question everything we believe we should resist.” My breath caught. The air between us suddenly felt charged, thick with something unspoken. I uncrossed my legs slowly, letting my skirt ride just a little higher on my thighs. “It does,” I whispered. “Sometimes the more we try to fight it, the stronger it becomes.”

The sermon I had prepared vanished. "Temptation is not a silent whisper," I began, my voice lower than usual. "It is a loud noise in a quiet room." I stared into space for a moment, my thoughts wandering. "It is the memory of a touch that makes the skin on your arms crawl even in the presence of the Holy Spirit. It is the scent of vanilla in a room full of incense." I gripped the edges of the wooden lectern until my knuckles turned white. The congregation was so silent you could hear a pin drop.

“Confidence comes with experience. And… a little temptation.” My pulse spiked. Temptation. That word hung heavy in the air, charged and electric. I shouldn’t be thinking about it. I shouldn’t be feeling the heat creeping along my spine, curling into my stomach, making my fingers clench the armrest. But I couldn’t help it. Not with her here, so close, so dangerous.
