The Alpha King's Regret: Hiding His Secret Twins Romane & Geschichten

* Regina * The summit has ended and I have heard that he was triumphant. At the same time, I am inside the Alpha King's hidden palace. The nights here did not behave like normal nights. They did not fall, they closed, like a hand curling around my throat. Although I am training every day I still feel weak inside.

“No, not in the slightest. But it turns out there was one more brother, and we didn’t know about his existence.” “What are you talking about?” I was already getting agitated by the shocking news. I hoped it wasn’t true. “You have nine brothers, Alpha King, not eight. But the last brother is illegitimate and has been hidden away from the pack since birth.” “What?!” I was stunned by what he had just said. “That can’t be possible.” “Your Father had a child with an Omega that used to serve in the palace, and he hid the child away to cover up his mess.”

The doors slid shut behind me, sealing me inside a space that suddenly felt too small for the thoughts pressing against my mind. For a moment, I just stood there, staring at my reflection in the metallic surface. The image looking back at me was familiar, controlled, composed, the version of myself that entire packs trusted without question. Alpha King. One of two. A title built on dominance, on certainty, on rules that never bent unless we allowed them to. Yet now something about it felt slightly misaligned, like I was standing in a role that no longer matched the situation unfolding around me. Because upstairs, Jason was with our mate. A male omega that should not exist in any recorded law

After several months, I gave birth to my healthy and super cute babies who are identical twins. Jana and I were the ones taking care of my twins, and she acted as their father even though she would have preferred to be the mother. I am happy even though I am a single mom. Just seeing the smiles of my two little angels makes all my tiredness and problems disappear. I have completely forgotten about the alpha I had a one-night stand with. I also have no idea what he looks like, so I chose to bury it inside my mind. However, I never expected that after seven years, our paths would cross again in a strange situation because of one of my twin children.

One thing which has touched my heart is once again his love for his brothers and the fact that unlike everyone else, he didn’t want this war from the start. Kane has also told me about his family history. Stefan and Wolf are the sons of Alpha King and his true mate and wife — Athlena yet Kane and Cassius are the sons of his mistresses. Until the death of Athlena, Alpha King kept their existence a secret but when she died…their mothers came forward and exposed themselves in front of the whole world. This hurt my heart. I didn’t expect Alpha King to be such a cheater when he claimed to love his wife so much that he waged a war on the whole world for her.

I cut off what the king was going to say with a quick nod to confirm what he wanted to know. “Our Alpha decided to hide in the world of humans. Not only that, the person who was with her and helped Alpha Crystal was none other than the son of the man who killed the Queen who you also killed,” I explained. The King retreated and inhaled it. He used his hand to cover his mouth, and his eyes widened as he turned to his daughter. Trembling, he approached Crystal and watched its appearance. “Is it true what you say, Themedeus?” ensuring the King.

Goosebumps rose on her flesh as she watched it crackle, fearing that this was an ominous omen. “Mummy, table has been set!” Kennedy ran in with the message and she startled. “I’m coming dear!” She called out and turned away from the ashes, painstakingly regaining her composure. Her kids, she would protect them as long as she drew breath. She would pretend she never received that cursed message. ~~~ “That was the fifth letter! She ignored the royal summons again.” Alpha Killian said, suppressing his anger as he paced. “If you were her would you come running too?” Damian his beta asked lightly but he looked just as troubled as he.

Before I could make sense of that betrayal, I was burying the man who gave me half my DNA and not much else. The pack didn’t mourn Arthur. Not really. Most of the murmuring voices weren't remembering him—they were buzzing about the new alphas. The twins. Lucian and Kieran. Two names that had spread through the territory like wildfire. Not because they were strong, though they were, but because they were brutal. They had taken Arthur’s title the only way alphas knew how—by ripping it from his cold, dead hands.

I opened the door and my heart tripped over itself. Jace. We stood there, locked in a silence so thick it felt like the air itself had stopped moving. When he finally spoke, his voice trembled. “Leah… I’ve been looking for you for so long.” This proud Alpha King was blinking back tears. He stepped forward like he meant to hold me, and I instinctively backed away. His smile faltered, and he took a step back too. “Sorry. I just... got carried away.” Out of courtesy, I let him in.

Feels like everyone around suddenly lost their ability to think for themselves, maybe a vacation is what I need. “I forgot to ask, did you later find out why the Alpha King didn't come for our mating ceremony?" I paused, another thing that I was avoiding thinking about. Even though he'd responded that he would be coming, he didn't show up, nor did he send a message to let us know why, which annoyed most of the Alphas' who wanted to use the opportunity to meet him. I shook my head, “not yet, but I'm sure he's busy.” She didn't look convinced but nonetheless nodded. Her arms tightened around me, her head resting on my chest. “How's training going?” I asked, putting a small space between us.
