Novelas y relatos de The Alpha's Contract Taylor West

"What exactly are you planning, Grant? You’re circling me like a predator, and frankly, I'm tired of being the prey." I felt the words rasp in my throat. Standing in the center of the Ridge Courtyard, the space between me and Grant Walker felt like a canyon filled with silver mist. I was just a scout who had misread a contract, a man who had walked into Westline Holdings thinking I was helping a friend, only to find myself bound to the most powerful Alpha on the West Coast.

I like a surprise. “So,” I say, watching him over the rim of my cup. “What did you hear?” “The Betas found her,” Victor sighs, turning to me. “She’s shacked up with Alpha Taylor and his pack, two or three hours from here.” “Taylor?” I ask, screwing up my face in confusion. “Who is that?” I wrack my brain, trying to remember anything I’ve ever heard about the Taylor pack, but I’m coming up blank.

Richard pleaded. “Deal with her,” Taylor said after a moment of pause as he narrowed his eyes. “Or we will and your new role as the Delta of the Redmoon pack is terminated, and your son will have no chance of becoming the Alpha. Not to mention all the funding from Silver Crescent will be pulled.” “Y…yes, Beta,” Richard said, bowing his head. “I will deal with it.” Beta Taylor turned to me and without hesitation, he lifted me into his arms, cradling me bridal style. He turned to his guard and nodded. They released Kelsey and they started to leave the room.

Before I could react, the sound of a camera shutter echoed. My gaze landed on his phone. “Taylor!” His grin widened as he checked the screen. “This is gold! I am sending this to Luna Kate. A cold Alpha smiling… this is a miracle.” My aura dropped instantly, heavy and commanding. “Delete it!” His smile faltered. “Oh, come on. It’s...” “Now!” The Alpha command wasn’t loud. Taylor’s resistance died as he lowered his head. “Yes, Alpha.” He deleted the photo and shoved the phone on the table like a sulking child.

She tried to convince Anabelle. "I will not be able to do that and you know it," Anabelle countered and looked at Taylor with a heated gaze. "It would be better if you just tell me." "Yeah, I would also like to know what is happening please." Vera voiced out. Anabelle gave Taylor a look that made her release a heavy sigh. Taylor looked up at the ceiling and gave a silent prayer before looking back at Anabelle. "Alpha Colton is being held by the Alpha," she said out and looked very guilty afterwards for disobeying the Beta's command not to let Anabelle know anything but how was she supposed to disobey the Luna?

“Aww, you think I am pretty?! That’s so sweet of you, bestie. But, how do you deal with the way Yasmeen is always lurking around Alpha Kyle? Doesn’t it bother you? Are you willing to forget him too?” I worry my bottom lip. I don’t have the luxury of forgetting about him. For some reason, it does bother me, but I have a contractual agreement to fulfill and some information I need. That is all there is to it; a matter of life and death. “Well, honestly, they can do whatever they like. I’m only tied to Alpha Kyle because of the agreement we have; nothing more. Soon as I fulfill my end of things, this chapter of my life will be concluded.”

"I’d risk everything." I felt the weight of his words settle in my chest, heavy and terrifying. The hunter leader let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. "Then I suppose we’ll have to see just how much you're willing to lose." His eyes flickered at me, and a cold shiver ran down my spine. "Be ready, Alpha," he said smoothly, stepping back. "Because we’re coming for her." Then, without another word, he turned on his heel, signaling his men to retreat.

This Beta’s Alpha, judging from the look of outrage that crossed his face when he saw what was going on. Elijah looked at me, and I cleared my throat and explained the situation. “Your Beta touched me,” I said, my voice coming out more clear than I expected. “I’m Alpha Elijah’s wife. The Luna of Silvermoon.” The Alpha stared incredulously, glancing back and forth between me and Elijah, who was still holding his Beta firmly by the ear. Elijah simply nodded, confirming my statement. The Beta tried to intervene, but it was no use. With a swift command, the Alpha dismissed him. Permanently. And with the utmost humiliation, might I add.

I couldn’t bare this silent treatment for long. Kai burst through the doors, interrupting my thoughts. “My Alpha,” he said, barely catching his breath, “the Alphas are here.” What? I frowned, confused. “The Alphas?” “Yes,” he said, his tone tight. “Logan, Vance, and Draven. They are in the council chambers as we speak with Elder Rowan and Malik.” I stood, my chair scraping against the floor. “Did I call for a meeting?” Kai shook his head.

Just when I thought my life would make some fucking sense, this had to happen. I sit for a while, trying to figure out what to do next. Nothing comes to mind. The goal I had was that I would try to track Lara down and talk to her, especially after the news that has been circulating. Damson wasn’t lying when he said that he heard rumors of her being Alpha. I was surprised to learn that it was all true. As of today, Lara Taylor is the Alpha of the Lycans.
