my father said happily as we approached Alpha’s bed. Meanwhile, I wanted to throw up when I saw that usual nasty and predatory look in his eyes that has always made my skin crawl. “Well, I’ll be in even better shape when we make this wedding happen by this month’s end,” Alpha dropped a bomb that made my entire life explode horribly before my very eyes. She had long heard about how ruthless and cold the Alpha was and also his deep hatred for the humans. That was why the pack were shocked when the council members brought the marriage proposal. They thought Alpha Styx was going to reject it but surprisingly, he gave his consent. They all believed that he finally let go of his hatred for the humans but once again he showed them how ruthless he could be. He didn't attend his own wedding and left his bride standing at the altar. And to top it all, he welcomed her by calling her a 'sex toy'.

Alpha Ryan mumbled enough for me to hear him. He held my hands in his, and I could feel them trembling. Oh, my Goddess, I wonder what will happen when he realizes who I am. I cleared my throat, pushing back the tears that has been threatening to fall out of my eyes. “Yes, I do.” I croaked. “You may now kiss the bride.” Smiling, Alpha Ryan placed his hands on the veil covering my face and I sucked in a deep breath.

She wondered who had caused her more pain lately—the rival billionaires or the husband currently threatening her.
