The Beginning After The End Characters Novels & Stories

He was still standing there, like a silhouette in the distance, slowly fading into the fog. Some people were only meant to accompany you for a part of your journey, and our path together had long since come to an end. Now, being at peace and well was the best ending for us both. I turned forward, closed the car window, and looked ahead, my heart calm. The fog gradually lifted, sunlight spilling gently, and I knew this was the start of a new beginning.

*** GIANNA *** Back to reality. As soon as the plane landed, I felt the change. All day, I've been avoiding thinking about this, about going back to my real life, but I guess there was no escaping it now. Although I sat in the car with the Russo family, I already felt the loss. The weekend is one I'll store away in my mind for those rainy days to come because I'm sure I'll never have another like it.

Could unify. Beginning proved it. Beginning demonstrated it. Beginning was it. And that was enough. And that was everything. And that was exactly right. Beginning existed. Hope's legacy endured. The story continued. Forever. Always. Beautifully. Beginning was here. And beginning was beautiful. And beginning was exactly right. The story continued. Forever. Always. Eternally. Beginning was here. And that was perfect. END OF CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND ONE And so the story continues, forever evolving, forever beginning anew...

A broken scream tore from my throat. “Mom!” The flesh on my hands was shredded. Even that pain was nothing compared to the pain in my heart. Memories of all the sweet moments I once shared with Suzanna flashed through my mind. Regret and hatred twisted inside me until I coughed up blood and collapsed. As my consciousness faded, I whispered, “Suzanna, from this moment on, we mean nothing to each other anymore.”

My own god killing arrow was killing me. I watched Cammy ran to her father’s side and all but carried a weeping Lucifer to safety. My own guardians surrounded us trying to heal me and Micheal. There was nothing that could be done. “Adrain I leave you in charge my love. When the sun hides in the moon's shadow will I be reborn. I love all of you.” With that said my wings unfurled and began to encase Michael and me. “At least this time we die together.” I thought to him. He smiled weakly and kissed my lips as we drew our final breath.

His eyes— No longer silver. Just… His. --- Far beyond— Where the Shadow had stood— Nothing remained. No darkness. No presence. No voice. Gone. --- Kael spoke first. “…It’s over.” Lucian let out a long breath. “Yeah…” Raven closed her eyes briefly. “We won.” Ethan said nothing. He just stood there— Quiet. Still. Changed. --- Because deep within— Something had ended. And something else— Had begun. The End… or perhaps, the beginning.

I turned. What happened? He pointed upward. The End has awakened. I stared at the cracks. The Beginning said the universe would continue. Kael shook his head. That doesn't mean it will survive. Cassian stepped forward. Explain. Kael looked at all of us. The Beginning and the End are opposites. The Beginning creates possibilities. The End removes them. Then why was the End asleep? Because there was nothing for it to end. I looked at my daughter. Until she was created.

--- --- --- Charlotte stood at the edge of the room, watching it unfold. --- Not surprised. --- --- Because this was always where it led. --- --- If every pattern could be mapped… If every deviation could be absorbed… If every contradiction could be resolved— --- --- Then nothing remained outside. --- --- --- Riven approached her quietly. --- “Is this the end?” they asked. --- Charlotte didn’t answer immediately. --- Then: --- “It’s the completion.” --- --- Riven frowned. --- “That sounds the same.” --- --- Charlotte shook her head. --- “No.”

he murmured, "wait for me. Once I’ve taken care of everything, I’ll come back and make it up to you." But I would not wait. ... By the time Lucas resolved the company’s affairs and came looking for me, I was already gone. I had quit my teaching job, left the city, and erased all traces of myself from his world. All I left behind was a single message: [The dead do not return.] Lucas understood. He sat before the abandoned house where we had once lived, crying in despair. Later, I learned he liquidated his empire, declared bankruptcy, and emptied his accounts into mine.

—Jenny I exhaled. And for the first time, I smiled. Maybe this really was the end, maybe we could finally move on, maybe tomorrow would be ordinary. I looked at Milky. She smiled back. And neither of us knew that sometimes… the best endings are simply the beginning of something better.
