The woman who enters looks straight out of a Berlin runway: tall, blonde, sharp cheekbones, lips like mine after John kisses me.
“Cat, meet Helena, my personal assistant. And expert in fixing wardrobe emergencies.”
“A pleasure,” she says in a delicious German accent, her pale eyes resting on me for only a second… before locking straight onto John.

She carries several designer boxes and hanger after hanger. Dior. Balmain. Saint Laurent. No name under a year’s salary.
“I prepared twelve options,” Helena says, as if it’s perfectly normal. “Mr. Blackwood indicated you’d like red.”
