Complexity of Loving

Complexity of Loving

So, there not much to do since we won’t be here at the cabin long term. Aaron had to hike a mile just to get cell service. It’s safer this way. No one can use technology to easily find us. I don’t mind except missing my family. It’s peace and we have plenty of food. There is a nice creek outback that has cool water, I think it’s spring water. It is cold and clear. I saw some fish in the creek. The cabin is quite large to me. Two floors with five bedrooms. One in the basement. The cabin needs some work. Cleaning and painting. You can tell no one has been here in years. No wonder only Aaron and Matt

Dawn of the Hunters

Dawn of the Hunters

I state the obvious gaining a roll of the eyes and a ‘no shit’ look from Mason. Jaheer leads us up the short steps, holding the door open for us to walk into the extra-large cabin. The place is nothing fancy on the inside. Much like a packhouse. A bare minimal packhouse. Unlike the other cabins we passed, this one was two-story. A large entranceway with a staircase which led to the second floor. Four doors, two on either side lined the otherwise bare walls. No pictures hung, only places that held candles. There were no light fixtures, nor could I see any lamps.

A Wife's Cry

A Wife's Cry

The lighting fixtures are elegant and provide a warm and welcoming ambiance. The cabin is equipped with modern technology and amenities to support productivity and communication. There may be a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall for presentations or video conferences, a mini-fridge for refreshments, and a private restroom for convenience. The overall decor of the cabin exudes professionalism and success. The color palette is typically neutral, with shades of brown, black, and gray dominating the space. The flooring may feature a plush carpet or polished hardwood, adding a touch of sophistication.

Running From The Alpha King

Running From The Alpha King

I'm wearing jeans and a shirt, my feet bare. "You can stay in the cabin for the night then go home tomorrow" I look at him confused "Cabin?" "Yea there's a small cabin just right there" he points "What's a cabin" I ask again He gives me this strange look "it's a place you can stay for tonight" he must have noticed my still confused expression so he speaks further "like a house, a roof over your head" "Oh" is what comes out of my lips "How old are you" he asks as we approach the so called cabin. I stop again and look at him, blank expression. This is the second question he's asking that I have no answer to. He sees my state of distraught and he let it slide

Shadows of the Forgotten Kin

Shadows of the Forgotten Kin

“But we’re here. Look.” They stood up together, leaning on one another for support. The cabin was a squat, weathered structure of dark timber, nestled into a small clearing surrounded by towering, sentinel-like pines. It looked ancient, the wood stained by years of mountain storms, yet it sat in the center of the clearing with an air of deliberate, untouchable peace. There were no footprints in the snow leading up to the porch. No lights flickered in the windows. It sat in the moonlight, quiet as a grave.

Wrath

Wrath

Jamie had excitedly helped him while Klara remained in the kitchen and packed the groceries away. “Let me show you the bedrooms,” Jake said once Jamie had found the remote and decided to hog the television. Jake picked up their two duffel bags, and the shopping bags, and walked up the stairs. The cabin had three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The first floor of the cabin had an open-plan kitchen, living and dining room with a wooden porch at the back. It also overlooked a naturally fed spring from the porch and it gave the cabin a rustic feel of being surrounded by nature.

My Enemy [BL]

I managed a small smile, glancing at Rowan, who was already rolling his eyes. The cabin was way bigger than I expected. Each step I took seemed to lead to another room that smelled faintly of pine and nostalgia. There was a spacious living room with an ancient-looking stone fireplace and comfy armchairs, a kitchen with shiny oak counters, and a wraparound porch overlooking the lake that glimmered under the moonlight. Five bedrooms, all beautifully furnished, with plush rugs and large windows that let the forest peek in. It felt homey yet unsettling — like the walls held old secrets but were kind enough not to spill them.

The space between the wrong

The space between the wrong

It looks like the setting of a horror movie, or a memory I’ve tried to suppress. "Are you sure about the floorboard?" Cole asks. "He used to hide my birthday presents there," I say. I’m staring out the window at the familiar peaks. "He called it the 'Vault of Secrets.' I thought it was a game. I didn't realize it was training." We reach the cabin at sunset. It’s a small, weathered structure painted a fading, peeling red. It looks abandoned. The windows are dark, reflecting the cold purple sky. We get out of the car. The silence up here is absolute, broken only by the crunch of our boots on the frozen ground. Cole stays close to me, his hand resting on the smal
