I’ve been burned before by following re-upload links on Tumblr that were just dead ends or, worse, had messed-up formatting.

It’s a bit of a ghost story in the fandom at this point, honestly. The writer’s last note mentioned real life getting intense, so I’m just grateful for what’s there and treat any new chapter as a surprise gift. Chasing scraps on other platforms never ends well.

There's also a surprising amount of comfort fic using the trope for healing after trauma, which can be really tender when done well. The worst ones just throw in smut without that emotional scaffolding, but the popular ones nail the character voice, making a universal experience feel specific to that ship.

I keep coming back to the ones where the dialogue afterwards matters more than anything else.
