I reply giggling with excitement. "Hey guys!! We found plants!" The rest of our team gathers around with a mixture of shock and joy plastered on their faces, we were all officially permanent members of A****n City! The cherry bobbed innocently on the surface, bright red against the pale pink liquid like a tiny beacon. "Cheers," Deborah said with a smile as she accepted the drink with the cherry on top from Deborah and took a sip from it. The liquid was cool and refreshing against her dry throat, with a fruity sweetness that masked any other flavors underneath. She could feel the cold beverage sliding down her throat, bringing relief to the parched feeling that had been bothering her all evening.
