Chains of Velvet, Heart of Fire

Chains of Velvet, Heart of Fire

Lucien sat on the edge of the transport’s ramp, unwrapping a bloodied bandage from his arm. “She’s just a child,” Seraphina said beside him. “She’s a weapon,” Vincenzo replied. “So was Lucio. We didn’t ask for that either.” Anton looked up from the confiscated map. “The Citadel is north. Deep in the highlands. Almost inaccessible. No air routes. No ground vehicles. Only one trail.” “And how do you suggest we get in?” Lucien asked. Elian’s voice crackled through their comms. “I’ll arrange it. But there’s something else.”

Marked in the Middle

Marked in the Middle

“Then we’re close.” They reached a ledge overlooking a wide chasm and there, across the gap, stood the Citadel in full view. It was immense, built from black glass and bone, its walls shifting like a living thing. Energy flowed from its heart in waves, spiraling upward to form a storm around the peak. Lira whispered, “It’s feeding off the ley lines.” Kael stepped forward, the wind whipping his cloak. “And her.” At the Citadel’s highest balcony, a faint light moved, gold, soft, familiar.

Luminous: The Throne

“As a guard, nothing like this.” Alessia bit her lower lip. “Is it always so… intimidating?” “No,” Ianthe answered, stepping forward. “It’s worse this year because of you.” Seraphine screamed. “Why mean it like that?!” Ariadne moved to Alessia’s side, resting a steady hand on her back. “This Citadel was built to keep peace,” she said. “But peace is built on fear. They gather here to see whether you are the storm that ends the old order or the storm that begins it.”

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

Ginika rolled his eyes, hoping his sarcasm will make the lecture pass away, but Vera was already laughing before he could even finish. “Gini,” Abigail laughed when she realized what he had said, “Don’t tell me you mean that?” “He doesn’t, but that wouldn’t prevent me from teaching his mule head.” Vera closed her eyes as if talking from her sleep. Vera continued to speak, “The Citadel is called the No-Man’s-Land because that’s the grave of foreigners and warrior who died in battle. Including those undergoing training. Zita, that was why the Vessler’s were trying to groom you, even though they went too extreme. It was called the first phase. The second phase wou

Raven the lurker
I have gotten used to read female lead stories from her so this time when it is male lead it's quite a refreshing and interesting change up. The start is promising and very well written and it's not the typical type of a novel so give it a chance as this author never ceases from surprising you.
Guavaman Guavaman
I've been following Dentot for a while now, and I must say, she never ceases to get me hooked on her stories! The change of perspective to a male lead is quite refreshing.. I'm expecting more action packed scenes and of course a bit of sexy stuff - maybe a lot of it would be good!

The Alpha's Ruined Mate: Awakening the Lycan Queen

The Alpha's Ruined Mate: Awakening the Lycan Queen

His mammoth-hide vest was dusted with fresh ash from the engine room, and his amber eyes were locked onto the central citadel—a towering, five-tiered monstrosity that bore the multi-anchored crest of the Western Kings. "We are going to use their own foundations against them," Natalia declared, her silver eyes narrowing to sharp slits. She turned to Commander Cheryl, who was actively analyzing the current-lines on her blue parchment map. "Cheryl, the primary anchors for those citadels. They aren't just chains; they are reinforced with Abyssal pressure valves to keep the fortresses from shifting during the high tides, correct?" "Yes, Your Grace," Cheryl replied, her webbed fingers tracing the

The Enigma's Omega Bride.

The Enigma's Omega Bride.

A guard's voice cut through the door, rough and final: “We've arrived at Moonveil Citadel.” The door swung open, admitting a gust of wind that bit like frostbitten claws. Elian descended the steps on legs that felt leaden, his boots sinking slightly into the gravel. He froze mid-step, breath clouding in the frigid air. The citadel rose like a dark mountain against the sky, its black stone towers cutting into the clouds. Massive walls surrounded it, and high above, silver banners bearing the crest of a wolf fluttered in the wind. This was no mere fortress; it was a lair, forged in the heart of nightmares, where the boundary between man and monster blurred into

Dumped, Because His "HER" Is Back

Dumped, Because His "HER" Is Back

The Citadel didn't look like a home. It was a monolith of glass and reinforced steel, perched on a cliffside where the Atlantic crashed against the rocks below. Inside, the air was filtered, silent, and smelled of ozone. It was a fortress designed to survive an apocalypse, and yet, as the heavy blast doors sealed behind us, I felt more exposed than I ever had in my crumbling studio apartment.

Atlantis

Atlantis

On their backs, their pilots sat in command of their movements. She is in fact standing on one of the high balconies of the Royal Fortress; the lone structure that stood in the inner core of the perfect concentric circles of land that make up the whole of Atlantis, towering the picturesque garden beauty of Atlantis that appeared so minute from her sky-high perspective. The great bridges that linked the rings of lands across the circles of water were further enhanced by brilliant gardens, groves of flowering trees, and innumerable sparkling fountains. From where she stood, she can even trace with her fingers the flow of the great canal where ships could sail right up to the water-circles and

The Hidden Hybrid’s Redemption

The Hidden Hybrid’s Redemption

"He said the intruders were sealed without." "He was talking about the Citadel," I said, looking down at the heavy iron key in my hand. The triangular bit matched the exact dimensions of the Reliquary's master gear. "We built this stronghold over the old northern foundation because the basalt was thick. We thought it was dead stone, Killian." "It wasn't dead," he said, his voice dropping to a harsh whisper as the floor beneath us shuddered a second time, lighter now, like a resting beast taking a deep breath. "It was just dormant."

The Lycan Ceo Unclaimed Twins

"If we’re in the same loop, they must be somewhere in the city. If they’ve been reset, they won't have the memories. They’ll be… children again. Vulnerable." "We need a beacon," Dominic said, his eyes scanning the rooftops. "If the Architect reset the world, he would have distributed the 'anchors'—the key parts of the system—in places of high density. If they’re here, they’ll be in the most protected, most isolated part of the capital." "The Citadel," I realized. "The Royal nursery." "Exactly," Dominic replied. "But we can't just walk into the Citadel. It’s crawling with the Architect’s enforcers—the ones who look like us, the o
