"I'm here. I'm whole. No curse touched me. No rumor is true." I let my thumb trace the line of his jaw, the edge of his fang. "Feel me. Not the lie. The truth." The crimson in his eyes flickered. For a moment, the beast and the man warred. I saw it in the tremor of his hands, the baring of his teeth, the shudder that ran through his frame like a wave. The curse wanted blood. The prince wanted me. And in the space between those hungers, I offered the only thing that could satisfy both.

His pride cracked. His voice broke. “FUCK YOU, NEXUS!!” The cry echoed through the office, but nothing changed—except the burning now crawled into every inch of his body. It was too painful, he'd almost considered praying to the gods to smite him right there and then. But not yet. He had things to do. He needed to know what happened to the empire and the emperor he used to serve 1000 years ago. Something Selena, a mortal, could never give him answers, but then again... fuck fate and its stupid eyebrows.

Lyrein shot back. For a moment, the hallway fell silent. Everyone stared at the trembling metal doors -- waiting... praying. Then footsteps thundered in from the far corridor. General Rowan, armor dented, blood streaking his cheek, bowed urgently. "My Prince -- the curse is spreading," he reported hurriedly. "Everyone linked to the royal bloodline is showing signs of instability. Jolts of uncontrolled rage, heightened instincts--" Lyrein's face drained of color. "Kaiden's curse is pushing into the pack bond..." he whispered.

A freak accident that left me completely alone in the world. But now, I couldn’t help but wonder. Were they werewolves too? Had they known this would happen to me? Shadows flicker red beneath my door now, dancing like cruel spirits. “Run!” The word echoes in my skull. The door bursts inward in a spray of sparks and splintered wood. Flames roar behind a towering silhouette. A man steps through the fire. I cannot see his face — only the outline of him carved in burning light. And his eyes. They glow. Not with reflection. With power. The world fractures into red and gold. Heat devours everything. The scream tears from my throat— I wake choking on smoke that isn’t there. My room is dark. Quiet. Whole.

These men feared me, respected me but fear did not erase curiosity. When the doors finally slid shut behind the last executive, i allowed myself to breathe, the glass walls reflecting only my own image back at me. Perfect suit. Controlled expression. A man untouchable by the world, but could be destroyed by a curse. The pain surged again, stronger this time. I staggered toward the window, my palm slamming against the glass as the city sprawled beneath me but none of it mattered. Because the curse had returned. “You’re late Nath,” Mara’s voice said from behind me.

The Bloody Moon appeared, the sky distorted. The souls screamed in a fury all over the Curse Mountain. Even those at the sky of Rice Field. A Witch Prince could be seen at the altar, he was watching that going on. He wasn't so sure how to react, he was able to tell that the Alpha have known this all along. Yet, the Prince could only sighed, murmured, “It was too late, the plan has already in its full effect.” His voice was those of regrets, yet hatred toward the Devil that hovered on the air.
