Fated Collision

Fated Collision

I had an extra invite and I gave it to him to give to Mary. The Gala dinner was held in aid of sports facilities that were being rebuilt in disadvantaged communities to help them grow economically. I was feeling a bit dizzy but I brushed it off and drank some water . Caleb asked me if I was feeling okay on the way to the venue. I lied and told him; I was fine. It was just the heat. Thank goodness it was getting cooler. I took a light jersey and left it in the car because as soon as I touched down at the hall I got extremely busy; from catering ,to speakers , seating, food, fundraisers, and name tags . I had grabbed my tablet and left my bag in the car.

The Game of Heavens and Earth

The Game of Heavens and Earth

Again, we were stunned. “Did that guy bother you?” Katie asked. Alex didn’t say anything. Instead, she showed us a golden card featuring a triangle with a circle inside and a square inside, all in black outlines. “My, my, it’s an invitation card.” Hassan gazed at Alex and her card with interest. “You’re being recruited by the Citrinitas. Must be the magic inside you, is it?” “Well, I —” Katie wrapped her arms around the Finnish girl. “Don’t think of any ideas, Shady Man. She’s with us.”

He gave her an honest opinion. "Time will tell! I like people who aren't afraid of speaking their minds! It is much helpful!" Alexa commented, shrugging her shoulders. Time went by and just after lunch, someone knocked on the dining-room door and asked permission to enter, it was Michel, he was covered in mud and leaves, some splatter of blood was visible, Flora and Charles were in the room when this happened and their disgusted look was visible, "Is that a way of presenting yourselves at the Queen?" Asked Charles, who were more visible offended. Behind Michel came the rest of the team, and a woman, probably the wife of Michel as he requested, she was a short woman, pale of skin, red hair li

An Unwanted Fate

An Unwanted Fate

Of course, what was supposed to be small turned into a much larger affair. Every Alpha invited was clamoring to attend along with their Lunas, Betas, Gammas and their mates if they had them. Ryan explained that in some ways, an invitation to an informal event such as this was more coveted than those to formal events and ceremonies. An invitation to a mating ceremony was a matter of protocol, polite etiquette. An invitation to an afternoon bar-b-que was reserved for more valued friends and allies.

Megan Teefy
love the fact the author helps the readers feel all those emotions we feel in relationships from the happiest to the most self loathing, but gives you that hope that of course love will conquer, even when we don't feel we deserve it!

the story is so human. focusing on emotions. the people are highly emotional beings especially Kat and Reegan and so they make so many mistakes that seems idiotic. though the dealing with emotions could be better. This story is captivating and steamy and I just couldn't put it down

The Fated Mates

The Fated Mates

The fate of an Unfortunate was worse than that of a wolf who had been rejected. If you got rejected, you could move on when you accept the rejection. There was no way to accept dying alone. Her aunt, Faye, was an Unfortunate too - it seemed to run in families, although the scientists and doctors said it wasn't genetic. Faye was as happy as she could be, though. She worked with the orphaned kids of the pack, because she said she knew what abandonment was like - the Goddess had abandoned her. Avery wasn't the motherly type, so she couldn't exactly do that. She was coarse and aggressive, and although sensitive, she was clumsy with her feelings.

Love Found Me In The City

Love Found Me In The City

Some battles aren’t fought loudly. They are fought with ultimatums. The Invitation The envelope arrived at the Bello mansion sealed in cream and gold. A high-profile charity gala. Media presence. Business leaders. Political figures. Chief Bello had been nominated for a lifetime achievement award. Attendance was mandatory—especially for Amara. “You will attend with me,” he said over breakfast, voice calm but final. “Appearances matter.” Amira met his gaze. “And Daniel?” His eyes hardened. “He is not part of this conversation.”

The Billionaire's Exception: Elena's Revenge

The Billionaire's Exception: Elena's Revenge

I followed obediently, not knowing what to expect this time. Dominic brought out an invitation and handed it to me. The invitation arrived in a velvet-lined envelope, as if the gala itself were too important to trust paper. I stared at it for a full ten seconds before turning it over in my hand. “Charity gala,” I read aloud. “Yes.” I looked back at the invitation. “You say that like it is not a trap in formalwear.” “It is a charity gala.” “Exactly,” I said. “A trap in formalwear.”

Seducing The Unavailable CEO

scribbled in gold, In elegant script, the invitation read: **"You're Invited: The Medleys Charity Gala. Date: Saturday, 7 PM. Location: The Grand Ballroom, New York City. Dress Code: Formal Attire."** My breath caught for a moment as I took in the words. This was more than just a gathering, it was a chance to step into a world of affluence and influence, a world that seemed miles away from my reality. The gilded edges of the card shimmered in the morning light, making the invitation feel even more special and daunting.

◆◆◆ Chapter 5 ◆◆◆ The invitation pinged into their shared inbox on the fifteenth, black card on black background, silver script: Velvet Circle. Last Saturday. 9 PM. Dress code: Creative. No masks required — everyone there already knew each other's faces, and most of their bodies. Fanny draped herself over Tony's shoulders at the kitchen table, reading the words with him.
