It was over for me. .... Months and days had passed since the Long War had ended. I wandered the cities of the Empire, searching solace in drink, in women and in food. Money was plentiful. The war had made sure of that. My brothers had both made investments and I was their sole collector. So I did exactly that, investing and binging, enjoying life as I drowned the sorrows of my memories. Then I met him, he was a strange man. Boisterous, glutonnous and too lecherous for my hypocrisy to tolerate.

I looked at Jaira, “You can have them, if you want.” I received so many gifts and love letters in our university, but I ignored and rejected all of it. I don’t want to accept anything to those men. So Jaira was the one who benefits from those gifts. Our ordered arrived and we started eating. She talks about many things, and I just listened to her. Until we finished eating, I thought we will about to leave. It’s already seven in the evening. “Hey, hey! Since we’re already here, why don’t we take a look on the bar upstairs? I am just curious what the bar looks like.”

A ghost of a smile appeared on her lips but it eventually vanished. “He went out first. The team needed him immediately.” I nodded and shyly stood up from bed. Of course, he’s the Alpha. Why would he even wait for me, right? I just fixed myself before docking from the ship. My mouth dropped open when I saw the situation outside. Trees were lifeless. I don’t even think there’s life here. Buildings and houses were destroyed and burned. This has become their life? In all of my years in experience, I have never saw something like this. Even being a Warrior Witch, I have never seen something like this.

“It learned.” Machines appeared. “It expanded.” Galaxies became connected. “And eventually, it understood everything it was capable of understanding.” Then the stars began disappearing. Elena watched. “What happened?” “Nothing.” One galaxy vanished. Then another. “That was the problem.” The last star disappeared. Darkness returned. “It reached completion.” Lucas looked up. “And then?” “There was no next question.” The Silence looked at him. “No uncertainty.” The barefoot girl whispered, “No choice.” The Silence nodded.

she demanded. The man tilted his head slightly, and the fire seemed to shift with him, shadows bending away like they feared to touch him. The light caught the sharp lines of his jaw, the faint smirk at the corner of his mouth. But it was his eyes that caught me—no, trapped me. They weren’t just strange. They weren’t even just beautiful. They were galaxies. Real galaxies. Vast and endless, shifting and spinning as though I could fall into them and never find my way out.

They're just specials I wrote because of the holidays and I wanted to give my readers something to read since I took a long break (like 6 days without uploading).
