James, dressed in a crisp white suit, moved effortlessly through the crowd, toasting guests and exchanging smiles, while Hilary clung to his arm, basking in the mix of admiration and envy directed her way. Just as James raised his glass to give a speech, the massive carved doors of the hall swung open. The music stopped instantly, and every pair of eyes turned toward the entrance. I stepped in wearing a blazing red gown that trailed behind me like fire. My arm was looped through Kane’s, and behind us walked my family, each wearing the black hawk insignia. As the entire hall fell into deathly silence, James’s glass slipped from his hand and shattered loudly on the marble floor. Red wine spill

They understood what was going on. “Is Damian two-timing them? Is he proposing to Ms. Moretti in public while having an affair with her maid behind her back? That’s utterly shameless!” “Gosh, no wonder Ms. Moretti chose Caesar over Damian. He had it coming.” The media present grew excited. Realizing that these events would be on the headlines the next day, they eagerly raised their cameras and began filming. Damian’s face was twisted with fury. He did not expect his meticulously planned proposal to be ruined by Alice in this manner.

Without another word, not letting him talk, I hung up and dumped my phone in my purse. Stupid! Stupid Poirot! Stupid job! Stupid Colton! SO STUPID! I blinked back my tears and reached for the cola. I took a long slurp from the striped red and white straw. I let out a sigh and looked down my lap. Two tickets of The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman, Colton's favorite actor, and Michelle Williams, my favorite actress. I thought he'd be happy, I thought he wouldn't bail out knowing this movie was played by his idol. Apparently, not even Hugh Jackman could take him off from work.

He turned around and looked at me expectantly, holding out a movie for me to see. It was The Great Gatsby. I laughed at his choice and he grinned broadly. “Now, I can tell when someone is interested,” He commented and started the movie. I smiled and snuggled closer to his side as soon as we were settled in the couch and rested my head on his shoulder. I sighed heavily and relaxed into his warmth. I could tell by the sound of the soft music that played in the background that the movie was going well. We sat there watching for a good two hours till the credits started rolling and I heard a deep growl coming from Jason.

"It's not that easy Jidda, some feelings are better left hidden," I said. whatever message she was trying to pass I was going to counteract it. "I know you don't think so, Fatima," "you have always wanted love to win'" Jidda persisted. "You know what this movie reminds me of" I said changing the topic. And talking to Ahmad instead. "The Great Gatsby" "That movie made me cry like a baby" I said. And Ahmad nodded.

"And don't expect to hear it ever again. Now, what's bothering you? Is there a bitch we need to drag, or what? If it's Dash, I beg you to please let me have him. I have so much planned for him, so much planned for his broke ass. I will drag him by his two front teeth and feed him his own ba-" "Ok, that's enough, Madea," she laughed shaking her head before she threw her hair over her shoulder and leaned over to the mini bar in the car before she brought back a bottle of Jack Daniel's. She smiled at me and I slowly shook my head, "oh yes...oh yes, Nastassia." "Oh, no, no, no, Jessalyn, that's Jack Daniel's. That's nothing like that sparkling wine we sneak around the house." "Oh, come on, Nasta

Beatrice while dispersing the invited guests who were currently busy gossiping about the strange couple who had just canceled their wedding. -00- Lucas forced Laila into his car with Laila grumbling in annoyance at the man. Meanwhile, Lucas didn't seem to care and immediately stomped on the gas pedal firmly leaving the large church yard. “Lucas, what exactly are you doing? You ruined my wedding with Mack. If Mom gets mad at me because I humiliated her in public, you should be held accountable!” Laila was angry as she folded her arms in front of her chest.

As soon as the tailor finished speaking, someone standing by immediately stepped forward to translate his words into sign language. The maids whispered enviously, "The Alpha is so thoughtful. He even arranged for a sign language interpreter." "Not just that. I mean, look at this dress! The Alpha went to Granite Summit just to get these gemstones!" Eric wrapped an arm around my waist. "Darling, do you like it?" I gently ran my fingers over the dress. Unfortunately, no matter how beautiful the dress was, it couldn't mend the crack in my heart. Eric seemed as though he wanted to say more, but a guard entered and whispered something into his ear.

10 minutes and 45 seconds later, I was standing in the living room with Bella cradled in my arms and a frown creasing my forehead. “That doesn't make any sense.” I said, stroking Bella's head absentmindedly. “I know,” Gatsby heaved a frustrated sigh. “The presentation should've brought in a better result but everything's much worse now.” “It's that asshole’s fault,” I stopped stroking Bella's head and fisted my hand. “If Gus hadn't…. How can you tell me that no celebrity agreed to endorse Eagle Eye? It doesn't make any sense.” “The company's image is getting a bigger hit, Caden,” Gatsby admitted with a sad look on her face. “I don't think we can survive one more.”
