"Where the fuck have you been?”He asks sternly and she yelped and jumped, pressing her palm flat over her wildly thrashing heart. “Gosh You scared me half to death,” she gasped, standing frozen in the doorway. "What are you doing in my room?”Shs squeaked.

Her voice is low and quiet. She’s Amanda, 49 years old and our one and only maid, she’s been working with us for 5 years already. “Shhh... just go to Elizabeth’s room. Make sure that she doesn’t come out.” I whisper and waited for her to leave completely. My hands are shaking. I touch the doorknob. I could hear a strange noise as I listen carefully. I swallow nervously. I was surprised when I opened it and saw them both naked. A blonde young woman was on top of him...

********** ~Adams~ I returned from the field to meet an eeriely quiet house. That wasn't unusual because our house was quiet. We don't have any maids living with us. The maids we have come to the house three times. Dad would never allow any maid to live with us. That's just to make sure nobody finds out about his secret. He would never want words to get out about how he treats his wife. My eyes scanned the entire lenght of the sitting room with my throat in my mouth. Unease settled unto the pit of my stomach.

Everything moved in a slow motion then the stupid coffee just had to fall over onto the floor. "What the actual fuck, Emma!" "I'm... ah... so... rry," I was lost in words as I dropped to pick up the broken pieces. "I'm sorry, Mr. Hol--" "Get a damn broom, and don't use your hands. Are you crazy?" The tears came. Suddenly, someone else appeared behind him and held his waist. "Where do you get these incompetent maids? She can't even serve a cup of coffee," the woman said with an upturned face. She was slender and wrapped in a bath towel also.

He checked his daughter's room and there she was sleeping soundly on the floor as their baby slept in her cot. “Mujer, ¿por qué la casa está desordenada?( Woman, why is the house messy?) " He inquired slightly kicking her awake. She walked out of the baby's room to their room as he followed suit. “I had to put Maïa to sleep, besides we need a new maid, I can't handle all this, I'm starting work on Monday." She added yawning. “So get yourself a new one!" He yelled. “So you can fuck her too?" She replied in the same tone."

"Zoe, sweetheart—" "Give it to me." Margaret hesitated before handing her the newspaper. The headline was printed in huge, dark letters. THE HOUSEKEEPER AND THE HEIR: LOVE OR LEVERAGE? Under the headline was a picture of Zoe when she was eleven years old. She looked thin and serious as she stood outside a county office with a trash bag filled with her clothes. Below the picture was another line: Sources say the bride-to-be spent nine years in foster care and was once questioned in a shoplifting case.

Sofia stares at her in frozen disbelief, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs as her breath catches in her throat. "Clara? What… what are you doing here?" Clara steps forward quickly, closing the distance between them. "I am here to work for you." Sofia blinks rapidly, her mind struggling to catch up with the reality unfolding before her eyes. "To work for me?" "Yes." A bright, utterly joyful smile spreads across Clara’s face. "I am your personal maid now." Sofia’s eyes widen even further, a gasp escaping her lips. "You are?" "Yes!"

I exclaimed as the middle-aged woman was wearing a black dress, average height, with a slender body. “I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. I am Madonna Kai, Master Richard’s housemaid. He asked me to show you to the guest room,” she said, and I sighed with relief. “Alright.” I swiftly went to pick up the pen and the document and hurriedly followed her downstairs. As we arrived at the front door of the guest room, Madonna stopped in front of the door and pushed it open. “You may use this room. Will you need anything else?” she asked.

“Miss, the Young Master asked you to come to the living room,” a maid said to a shabbily dressed woman. The woman who was washing the dishes turned around. Her hair was messy, her face looked tired. “Now?” the woman asked. “Yes, Miss,” the maid replied with a stiff expression and lowered her head. Helena Helena looked surprised, it was unusual for her husband to call her when his housework was not finished. However, because it was an order, Helena put the plate in her hands in the sink and dried her hands. Her chest was beating erratically, making Helena feel uncomfortable.

" With a single sentence, my mate dismissed every sacrifice I had made for this household. He was tired of me, yet he still craved my cooking. No—because he thought I was the cheapest maid. A bitter laugh slipped past my lips as I pressed the pen down and signed my name. After Lucas left, I went to meet Ms. Murphy. On my way, I ran into Amy, who was watering the flowers in front of her house. She greeted me with her usual cheerfulness. "Mrs. Howl, did you and Mr. Howl fight? He stormed out this morning, looking furious. He'd even asked me for a sandwich."
